The instructions are a little tricky if you’re new to the whole espresso machine experience. I got to say this machine saves me money being able to make our own espressos and coffee to our liking. The frothing part can be tricky to get your cup out if it’s too tall. So we just hold it and do it at a slant and wait for the recommended seconds. There’s many styles of coffee you can make with machine if you follow the proper steps. Once I got the hang of using it. I’d never want to go make to the older style ,plain coffee machine. You can also use grounded coffee in this machine. The expressos/ coffee taste so much richer than other coffe machine. I love the clean taste and the flavors of the coffee naturally come out. Loving this machine!

I love how you can either use coffee grind or coffee beans. It has a button to self clean. Very easy to put together. Love how it doesn't leave a mess. It is very durable and has many functions. I highly recommend this product.

Well, that is a disappointment. Excitedly opened the box this morning, and set it all up according to the manual. Alas, the machine sends all of its water through the milk frother, and none of it through the brewing group, no matter what I try. It surprised me, because the manual said every machine is tested with coffee. If that were true, they would have found that there's no coffee coming out of this machine at all. Now I'll have to wait for the service center to open after Christmas and go through endless hours of being on hold and troubleshooting, no doubt. So far I seem to have bought a very expensive coffee grinder only. I could really use a coffee.

It’s been a lot of fun making various espresso, cappuccino and latte drinks. It’s definitely saving me a lot of money and I don’t have to go out to get coffee, which is a huge plus. I have been recommending it to all of my friends.

The instructions were easy to follow, walked through, and easy to read. The mechine is high quality, study and strong, nice Sleek looking design. The value of this product is great, built well. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this machine it does a good job, we have been making different drinks. I love the milk steamer! It’s definitely turned my coffee experience up. It’s a little loud but I don’t mind. I definitely recommend this coffee maker.

Bought this unit on boxing day sale and thought it was going to be exactly what I wanted. Avid coffee lover and the reviews mostly pointed to good things. If you like weak, flavourless coffee made by a unit that is noisy and constantly needing attention due to error messages then by all means this is the coffee machine for you! Personally, I would return it but no longer an option. I regret wasting the money and already looking for a replacement. It will not be from Philips.

I ended up returning this because it started leaking randomly on my counter. Pros: it’s automatic, and for the price it seems like a bargain Cons: the temp settings are weak, which leads to not-that-hot espresso and weak flavour. I used the same beans as I did in my cheapy Delonghi espresso machine and had much better results with that machine than I did with this one. If you’re someone that just wants coffee in the morning and aren’t particular on the boldness, but want something they can just click 2 buttons to get started, this might be for you. But I’d probably look at the Ninja 2 in 1 first, especially at half this price.
