[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This game doesn't do anything new or innovative, but instead, it combines familiar elements perfectly. This is a platformer/3rd person shooter, but the gameplay here is polished so much that I can't name a single flaw in it. Plus, the is one of the most beautiful games of all time, and there is no reason for this game to look so great. Do not just dismiss this as a movie tie-in game, a children's game, or a simple remaster. This is on of the best games on PS4 and it should be played by everyone who owns the system, young or old.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Now we are getting what we all want on a console and that is one hit after another, multiple good games a month and tons of great content in the pipeline. Thought I would sneak in this blast from the past before Drake 4 came out. I was not disappointed. A full reboot of the original ps2 game that started it all they did a beautiful job remaking this game. The CGI is just about movie quality and I can barely even remember the original so it might as well be a new game. It amazes me how many time $ony has used this formula on R&C games for now 3 generations plus PSP/Vita and most of them are really good, lighthearted fun for kids or 'big' kids.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As always, Insomniac did a great job. One of the best looking games on the PS4. The gameplay is still very solid and fun. As far as the gadgets go, I would say around 80% are fun to use enough to upgrade through the game, but all are unique and should be tried atleast once. Insomniac has integrated sections of the movie in as cutscenes, but having seen the movie, I can say, they are the same scenes in some of the game from the movie. The game will pop up a message that no recording can be done during the cut scene, if from the movie. Highly recommend this game to all ps4 owners, really fun. On my second play through and still a blast.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been a fan of Ratchet and Clank since I played Size Matters on PSP in 2008. After playing through many of it's PS3 entries, the time has come for it to get it's own film, along with a remake of the original game for PS4. This game works on all levels. The presentation of the game is perfect, and its graphics look like a Pixar movie during gameplay. In fact, there are clips from the film in the game, and the actual game looks better than the movie! The gameplay is very well executed, It's a hybrid 3rd person shooter and platformer, and both are equally fun and satisfying. However, the gameplay loop is what really makes this game addictive. Using weapons levels them up, which unlocks more abilities for them. In addition, killing enemies get's you bolts and raritanium, which is used to purchase those upgrades. And on top of that, you can earn cards by killing enemies, and completing sets of those cards earn you special versions of weapons and increases the rate at which you earn bolts and raritanium. The humor is here as well, and it is just as great as ever, and still just as relatable. The trophies are fair, and I already have it's platinum. It switches the pace from the standard shooting to space battles, laser puzzles, Clank sections, and grind rail sections, which keeps everything fresh. I can not recommend this game enough. It is pure joy. Like a hug from a friend you haven't seen in awhile who smells like strawberries, but in video game form. If you enjoy happiness, then you should get this game.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To start off, this game looks and plays beautifully. When I first saw footage of this game my jaw dropped at the level of detail this game has. Everything from the backdrop to the foliage makes the game feel like you're in a living breathing world. The gameplay itself is the most fun I've had in years with a platformer. You have a diverse arsenal of weapons from a disco ball grenade that make your enemies dance to a gun that pixelizes your enemies. Each weapon is vastly unique and keeps the action fresh, couple that with upgrades to your armor suit such as the jet pack and grind boots and you have a game that keeps on giving.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've never played the previous Ratchet and Clank games but I've always been aware of them and I'd sometimes watch my sister play them. This game is based on the movie that released that's based on the remake of the game and does a splendid job of recreating the world with updated visuals. The game looks absolutely gorgeous as the graphics look straight out of a pixar movie and the gameplay is extremely fun. I've still yet to finish this game but the developers did a phenomenal job in recreating Ratchet and Clank and I'd really like to see them do the same with past entries. Its a great game I really recommend it to anyone.

Aesthetically, this game blows A Crack in Time out of the water (and that game was a beauty on its own). The controls are familiar and responsive as ever; my little nephew who has never played the series quickly adapted within an hour. Good ol' golden bolts are back, along with a plethora of holocards to find for the collectible fans out there. The story is largely similar to the original R&C, only this time it is told through Captain Qwark's perspective. The charming characters and humor are all there. Tl;dr I cannot praise this game enough, if you're into 3rd person platformer with awesome weapons, get it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Short and sweet review: it is a beautiful game to see, fun world to explore, and has a steep learning curve for movement and weapons skills. The weapons are fun and varied - pixelator and sheep cannon are hilarious. No microtransactions, yeah! It's like playing the movie as it has several well made scenes that have humor and provide a compelling story to carry you through the levels and bosses. There are some difficulty spikes, but overall it is a relaxing and fun adventure. It does however make watching the movie redundant as the game's cut scenes are essentially the important parts of the movie that just came out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me start by saying Ratchet and Clank is one of my all-time favorite series. So many fond memories of playing the original trilogy on PS2. This re-imagining of the first entry in the series is simply amazing! This isn't just a simple remaster, it's a top to bottom remake with possibly the best graphics of this generation so far (artistically speaking). We've truly come to the "Pixar" level of quality. And of course the gameplay is top notch, pulling the best mechanics from every entry in the series and improving upon them PLUS more on top of that. Hopefully this is the beginning of further entries in the series.
