Excellent All-Around Phone
- January 17, 2011[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this phone because of the "blackberry" name plus it was on sale for customers upgrading their current cell phone. All in all this is a great phone for every day use for those who wish to make calls, check email, browse for simple things online, and instant message with others. Decent battery life (be sure to turn your blue tooth off for longer life), easy to use, simple to setup. Only thing I do not like is that every few days it will get "stuck" - for example, I deleted a text message but it still shows up on my list of active messages. I must remove the battery to refresh the system. All in all happy with the purchase.

expect problems
- July 23, 2011[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There have been many issues with the Torch 9800 freezing up and having to wait 30 seconds to 2-4 minutes to unfreeze. Really irritating if you need to make or take a call and the phone freezes up.Wait for the Torch 2 in August.I know 5 people who have the same issues with the 9800 and even an AT&T Store employee who swapped into another phone because of the freezing issues. I am waiting to here a news report about a person not being able to call 911 on a frozen Torch and being hurt or wores due to these issues. Google : torch 9800 freezing PS- I am on my 3rd Torch and waiting till my contract is up in December.

Great phone!
- February 4, 2011[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have just stepped into this updated technology for personal use. I have a Droid for work, but the flexibility of using the touch screen or the keyboard on my Torch is great! I also did not think that I would use the internet as much as I do. I seldom login to my laptop anymore. I am thankful for the Best Buy 30 day warranty, as I began to have trouble with a couple of the features very close to day 30 and they took care of it. Needless to say, I purchased the insurance after this issue. I also purchased the Platinum cover for my Torch and it is very well protected. I am thrilled that I bought it!

Great step up from the Bold, now I am cool too!
- January 18, 2011[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to switch from a plain jane BB and now I am as cool as my friends with their droids and iphones, or close enough. Big sharp touch screen with more buttons than I really want, but hey - I get to choose which to use, pull out the keyboard and it's the old familiar blackberry. Really sharp photos with the 5 mp camera. Much faster connection to the browser and applications. The battery is twitchy, use a surge protector when you recharge it. It is also difficult to get the case back off to pop the battery out to reset it after it detects a power surge and shuts down while recharging. The touch screen is very sensitive and sliding it in and out of the case may activate a button, I get the calendar a lot.

EXCELLENT AT&T phone!
- March 23, 2011[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As with any smartphone, the battery life can be drained easily, depending on how much you use the internet, play games, etc. This BlackBerry is an EXCELLENT showing, especially from AT&T. The navigation on the actual phone is a little different from BlackBerrys past, but the adjustment is smooth and well worth it with the upgrades. The camera is crystal clear, the apps are limitless and run without any glitches. I haven't had a single complaint about this phone. It was worth the price and I would DEFINITELY be a future patron of BlackBerry Anonymous: I'm addicted!

Inedible Blackberry
- January 28, 2011[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After all of the rave reviews my friends gave of their Blackberry devices I decided to jump into the fray and get one for myself. Unfortunately the Torch is a cheaply made slider phone with a buggy OS. I have had frequent lockups, phone turns connections off, pocket dials, keyboard will not stay locked, slider is now very sloppy, and the paint falls off if you look at it too hard. All in all this phone was not worth getting for free for the 2 year extension of my contract. Strongly suggest you avoid this piece of junk.

Great Phone
- March 21, 2011[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This phone has been great! Sometimes I wish I knew more so I did not have to look up instructions for features all the time. I traded in a phone I really liked just because it was time to upgrade and this was the closest to what I was giving up. I know this one will continue to be great for my use the next 2 years. I took another reviewers suggestion and got the insurance from Best Buy. The ease of phone calls and the keyboard are what I like best. The battery life is awesome.

Great Phone for Texting and Browsing
- December 6, 2010[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I upgraded my phone, I was looking at a couple of different phones, but then decided on getting the Blackberry Torch for ATT in Red. I got the phone for $49.99 with a 2 year upgrade, and the phone is just phenomenal. The phone is really fast, has great battery life, and has the touch screen for texting, but also has the full qwerty keyboard to text and browse the web. I would definitely recommend this phone for a friend. You can set up your email to the phone in a different message inbox, so that emails, and texts aren't all messed up, and you can check facebook. There are so many applications that you can download onto the phone. Just simply amazed. The only thing that catches me off guard is when I try running youtube, or the browser. It seems like the phone freezes, but its just starting the application. If you press clear on the keypad, you will be able to launch other applications.

Best Phone EVER
- February 18, 2011[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to say I was hesitant to get a touch screen phone, but I am LOVING the Blackberry Torch and I adore the red color! My last phone, a Samsung was nowhere near as advanced as this phone, I'm able to send out resumes, view videos, search for jobs, and more. And the customer service I received at the San Bruno store from Manager Zsa Zsa was top notch.

Great Phone for the Price
- January 31, 2011[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was able to pay $0; that's right, it was a free phone!! I was already a Blackberry user, but I had to learn a great deal. I've kicked the tires, and I feel I'm learning something new daily. It's a great tool for my needs. I've even forwarded all my phone calls from my other Blackberry (work phone) to this one. Now, I carry only one phone.
