Docking station improves Surface Pro 3 experience
- September 8, 2015[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The docking station improves the surface pro 3 experience. There are many devices on my wireless network that can consume a lot of bandwidth. The docking station allows me to utilize the same networked devices via a wired connection which provides a faster connection without slowing any already connected wireless devices. Users should be patient with using the docking station as it may take a few attempts for inexperienced tech users to get the docking station to work fully with the surface pro 3. I recommend seeking assistance if you can't get the docking station to work. Up to date drivers and Microsoft updates are key.

Adds much needed USB ports!
- March 1, 2015[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I LOVE the 3 USB 3.0 and 2 USB 2.0 ports this dock adds, it's also nice to have a RJ45 wired ethernet connection too. I don't like that it's $200.00 for a glorified piece of plastic, but oh well. For the money I wish Microsoft would've added speakers to it. A neat thing I just found out is that the left side has a magnet that will hold the stylus pen to it -that's pretty cool!. In summary, I love the added expansion this dock offers, but for the price I wish it had some speakers too. Still, it's a great product and if you use your Surface Pro 3 more stationary than mobile you'll get a lot of use out of this dock.

Very Capable Dock
- June 13, 2015[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not too much thrilling about the dock, but it functions as described. It has 2x USB 2.0, 3x USB 3.0, mini DisplayPort, Gigabit, a single 3.5mm audio port for a headset (with mic) or speaker. It also has a magnet on the left to hold the stylus. The things I do wish it had were: - adjustable angle - additional video port (HDMI or another DisplayPort) - smaller profile (which would be possible if the dock could adjust angles to fully flat (to make it more portable) - same power connector as the Surface one -- it uses a different connector, so they are not interchangeable. Other than that, it's a very capable dock.

Doc that is a must have for home office
- November 29, 2014[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Docing station for my surface Pro 3 is amazing. My wife and I have a Surface pro 3 each and we have a common study at home. we use this doc to our common screen as we share the study. The Doc itself connects very easily to the screen and comes with a power charger. At home we use this for work. Left side of the Doc is magnetic to attach the pen to. We plug in a Bluetooth common keyboard and mouse to share - works like a charm Combine the Doc and the screen of the Surface pro and the screen that is connected to the Doc you can use two screen mode of Widows 8 to multi task across work space. - just amazing for productivity This is a must purchase for your Surface Pro 3

Does the job
- May 30, 2015[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works as expected. The only issues I found were the lack of angle adjustability, but if you are using to connect to an external monitior not a very big deal, and the mini display port is oddly recessed. I had a mini display port to hdmi adapter that I was using with my SP3 that was not able to connect to the docking station because the rubber around the end of the male end was to thick and would not fit into the recessed hole. I ended up having to purchase another cable (Insignia 6" mini port to hdmi) that ended up working out great. Other than that for the price a few more ports would have been nice.

If you have a Surface 3, you'll want one of these!
- August 22, 2014[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got one of these for my Surface Pro and it worked great and made desktop use and charging easily manageable. Then I got my Surface 3 and I had to order the new dock that works with the Surface Pro 3. The difference is that it has more USB 3.0 ports, and it is a bit larger to hold the Surface Pro 3. Too bad that the Surface Pro 2 dock was not compatible with the Pro 3, but still, for productivity sake, you'll want the docking station. The best part is that you can keep the Surface charge without having to worry about the magnetic charge from accidentally falling off - not a problem with the dock. It's easy to dock and easy to undock and go. It's worth the cost in the long run. Enjoy.

Convenience: mobile, home & business w/ computer
- March 1, 2015[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the surface pro 3 dock to finally get down to ONE computer - no more workstation at home and a laptop for the road. Combining the surface pro dock with the Targus USB 3 dock, I can easily have my home setup with multiple big screens, local storage (for local backups) and wired LAN (for greater than WIFI speeds) in one simple package. When it's time to go on the road, I only need to "pop out" the surface pro and my data is with me in a tablet/laptop. Upon my return, I just drop it into the surface pro dock again and avoid dealing with any cables, dongles or power adapters. Works great, I love it. With this setup I get three monitors working when I'm home which is great for multi-tasking!

Great Product, unrivaled by Apple
- December 4, 2014[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally Microsoft is stepping up their game regarding hardware! I am a die-hard Mac user, but I got my wife a Surface and man - the temptation has been there quite a few times! She has her Surface Pro 3 on the go all the time, and text input with the keyboard cover is just so easy! At her home office, this docking station is a perfect addition to transforming the Surface Pro 3 into a desktop working station. She is using the docking station in conjunction with a wireless keyboard/mouse set and has it hooked up to a 55" LED-TV, which really works out great for her. Highly recommended!

A MUST for Surface Pro Desktop Connectivity
- August 15, 2015[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I originally was quite excited about my new Surface Pro, but of course the same things that made it portable and easy to use also made network and printer connectivity difficult. The docking station solved all of these issues beautifully! Dropping the Surface Pro into the dock is quick and easy... no hassling with a lot of extra wires, hubs, and power cords once you plug everything into the back of this thing. I have the dock connected to a USB 2.0 printer cable, Ethernet cable, a USB 2.0 portable drive, and a USB 3.0 portable drive. Everything is seamless and works like a champ!!

its ok.
- March 12, 2015[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted a docking station to connect two monitors and a number of other gadgets. This docking station is not well engineered. It docks on the side verses the bottom. It looses the connection on a regular bases and messes up what you are working on. For example the monitors go black when it looses the connection. You have to get out of IE and get in again and go back to where you were. Not the best. Also the ports are hard to get to. I've had better docking stations. I wouldn't recommend paying the money unless you absolutely need a monitor or multiple ports.
