    Great HDMI in-wall cable

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - October 5, 2020

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this cable for the new TV that I mounted on the wall and wanted to hide the cable from the tv to the cable box. Make sure that you obtain a cable that is longer then you think you need and take into account if you have the TV mounted on a full motion bracket on the wall, and the distance from the exit point of the cable on the wall to where you are connecting to. I would recommended that you allow at at least 6 feet or more for the length of the cable to allow the bends that you might have when placing the cable in the but this would depend on the location and distance to the device that you are connecting too.

    More $$ Isn't always Better

    Reviewed by Marcus - May 31, 2018

Should have trusted online reviews and AVS forums but I was anxious to try out my new projector and knew I needed a longer run for installation down the road. Worked good for about a year but then I noticed sparkles starting occasionally. When I installed the cable in the ceiling and drywalled, it failed completely. X-Box had green streaks all over the place, BlueRay would only present a mangled picture then blank out. Tested with two short Rocketfish cables - no issues. So I bought a Monoprice Redmere cable at a sixth of the price and it works great. Don't bother with expensive cables for HDMI.

    used on projector

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - August 19, 2014

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased my first one together with the projector after installing everything I had problems with the signal staying on or coming on at all. I ran the cable in wall, above ceiling, and plug it in and it would not send signal to projector. I started ruling out item by item ps3, projectors, AV receiver, rca cables, well it ended up being a bad HDMI if I went and wiggled/jiggled/moved the HDMI connection where it connected to the AVR the signal would come on. Well long story short I took it back exchanged it and the second one worked flawlessly without any other modifications except replacing this hdmi. It sends good signal and more than anything it stays on without me having to mess with it. It is heavy cable and it can be a pain running it and connecting it to your electronics. I would not buy it again for the price. But I was in a hurry.

    Good product for the price

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - May 12, 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought the 12' HDMI cable I already had would be enough to allow for the new placement of my TV above the remodeled mantle. Not even close. The extra length was just what was needed. Also needed 4K approved and a sturdy casing as I had a rough route through the wall to navigate. This product was a good value that met all my criteria.

    Failed - Quality control problem?

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - May 10, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Failed or maybe never really worked in the first place. Connecting a Sony XBR 4K flat screen to Marantz processor, both quality components you'll agree, and it won't play without snow and lines throughout. To test, I installed an HD cable (another Rocket fish from years ago) connected to another even cheaper cable (because I didn't have a single cable long enough). Guess what, my Rube Goldberg 2 cable solution worked, and the cool new Rocketfish failed. Many of these might be great, but once you install one through the wall and have to rip it out, you'll do what I'm doing -- buy Audioquest. In my case, I'm going to replace it with the Cinnamon. Yup; it's twice as expensive and worth every penny.

    Durability / Quality issues

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - November 3, 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have prior experience as a home theater installer and A/V manager. I purchased two of these cables for a home theater upgrade and within a couple weeks they both went out on me and I had to return them. I’m not entirely sure the cause, but I tend to be fairly delicate with running long runs of wire, still, an HDMI cable should be able to handle basic wear and tear (especially for the cost). The last cable was working fine until I had to unplug it and drop to a lower shelf. That little bit of movement was enough to stop it from working. It’s also worth mentioning that anything beyond 12 feet is really asking for it too, but if they can’t make reliable cables, then they shouldn’t be selling them.

    excellent connectors

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - November 17, 2014

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was a very good fit for my project. The 24 ft length was ideal to go from my gaming system to my desktop computer. The connector ends are very robust and should hold up during extended use.

    Works great

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - August 15, 2020

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cable was a great value and works great. The only issue was that I ordered a "new" cable and this one was obviously a "returned" cable. It was obvious from the damaged box and the cable was not wound and held in place by multiple wire ties as new cables are machine wound and usually tied off with three wire ties. I was disappointed at that. However, the cable works perfectly and that is what matters. I think if the website is going to offer "returned" goods, they should clearly so state in the product description. It does give me pause when I order other items.

    Cord for projector

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cord allowed us to run the cord from our ceiling projector through to the closet because it was extra long. Works great

Good for a long HDMI connection

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - January 5, 2019

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My TV is approximately 22 feet away from my A/V receiver, so I needed a long HDMI cable to connect them. Some older HDMI cables are not capable of carrying a 4K TV signal over such a long distance; this one IS capable of doing so. One warning - one end of this cable is faintly marked "display" and the other end is faintly marked "source." It is important to connect the end marked "display" to the TV, and the "source" end to the source device (A/V receiver, Blu-ray player or set-top box), and not vice-versa. Otherwise, this cable won't work, and you'll see a black picture. With older types of HDMI cables, it doesn't matter which end you connect (but the older types won't be able to carry a 4K signal over a long distance).
