Uncomfortable headphones with fragile pads
- June 4, 2018I got these headphones about a year ago. They sound okay (better than lower end headphones). The noise cancelling feature doesn't actually cancel much noise, when you flick it on it also boosts the volume slightly, to give you a better impression of noise cancelling. However it does cut out noise, unfortunately in places where there is lots of noise (like a bus) or outside in the wind, it will try to cut out noises that you wouldn't hear anyway, and cause a bit of noise in your music (luckily turning off noise cancelling is a good option). Also about 8 months in (with light use, not used daily), the ear-pads simply fell apart. The outside layer is a fragile vinyl that fell off. And the inner circle connection was not sturdy, causing the front and back of the pad to disconnect in that center circle. So now the pads' foam has expanded, leaving only a narrow hole in the center for sound. This of course ruins the sound and is uncomfortable to use. Replacement pads are difficult to find online, and I wouldn't want to replace them with the same pads since they were so weak, I'd like a higher quality pad option. Furthermore, the headband is not padded, it's hard plastic. If you have a bit of a pointed head like me, this is painful to use. Luckily a universal headband pad can be found cheap online, which mostly solves the issue. Overall, I can't give this a 1 star because frankly, the sound quality was fine, (they are not high end headphones, but they aren't budget sounding either, somewhere in the moddle, closer to the bottom). And the audio jack even withstood a 5 foot drop onto pavement that bent the connector , but it still worked perfectly. These headphones would be worth more with higher quality ear-pads.

Is it a scam?!
- August 14, 2024[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered this headphones for 40$ but they don't look anything like other buyer's headphones. It looks more like other 10$ sony headphones model. Am I scammed or what bestbuy?

Great Sound, Good Noise Canceling, Short Cord
- August 5, 2015[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sound on these headphones is great with good bass response. They are comfortable on my ears and don't seem to make my ears as uncomfortably warm as my Panasonic set. The noise canceling is good too and reduces most (not all) of the outside noise. Listening to this set with the power on though makes sound with the power switch off disappointing but it's good that it has the option and according to the marketing a AAA battery can last for 80hrs. It only takes one AAA battery and comes with one in the box so that's nice too. The gauge on the cord though is thin and the length is short so I'm not sure how long this will last but there is a 1yr warranty.

These headphones excel in providing immersive sound quality while effectively blocking out ambient noise, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in your music or audio content. Excellent
- October 15, 2023[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just purchased this today and I’ve been using it since. It’s an excellent option for noise canceling headphones if you don’t want to pay too much $$. It doesn’t block all the noise but it works. Some reviewers said that its cheaply made so I went ahead and purchased the 2 year geek squad just to be sure because I will be using this a lot for studying.

Tiny
- May 31, 2024I bought a new pair of Sony corded headphones about 5 years ago and never had a problem but like anything with use comes wear. So I decided to try this $59.99 price tag "noise-cancelling" corded Sony headphones brand new from Best Buy. For one thing, they don't have a USB charge port and instead rely on what I imagine would be an endless series of AAA batteries for what sounds like a minor volume boost and the noise-cancelling tech. But the real problem here is the size. They have shrunk so much I could've saved $35 and just bought the standard corded headphones. I will keep them, though, as my mother is in need of a basic pair of headphones.

Good for price
- January 29, 2024[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the price they are pretty good. Nice to have an extra set of headphones that I don’t care if they get damaged. Though cord is weirdly twisted since I bought it. Does not affect sound quality though
