[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We used HDMI ARC connection between the receiver and TV, but cannot hear the sound when playing the TV. When I turn on the TV, connect the source to the receiver, the sound disappeared. Somehow it worked for a few times for a day or two, but now cannot hear the speakers when connecting to TV. the sound works when connecting with my phone via blue tooth.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Never hooked up my surround sound in my ceiling , decided to when I got a new TV, had best Buy install, can't go back to old TV speakers after this. I'm glad it does the job. Not expensive and well worth it. Good for true surround sound.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really nice receiver for the price. On my last theater receiver I had to manually power off the unit after use. This unit, if you used HDMI cables from all your input components (highly recommend) and to the tv. It will automatically turn the receiver On/Off with the TV. The audio menu is a little clunky to get through but easier through the remote control. The sound quality is really good. I use it to boost the sound of my TV in a large room, but it does so much more. A single button on the remote switches different inputs including Bluetooth sync to your tablet or phone. Still much to learn but happy with it so far.

Those expecting fire-breathing performance and audio levels that can fill an auditorium may want something with a bit more "grunt". Mine is being used for audio on a computer where I do a bit of simple movie-making, audio work, etc. I am far from a pro or avid hobbyist. So, this little receiver is more than enough for my needs. Setup was easy; markings on the back are clear. I give it four stars instead of five because Sony, like every other manufacturer, uses this grey-on-black color scheme making the front panel virtually impossible to read. (see picture)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried several soundbar/sub systems and was ready to go w/the JBL 500 soundbar/ sub system but this blowed that out the water this is the way to go...you'll get low level bass at volume 23 and this thing goes all the way up to 100 i paired it with a 10in sony sub and a pair of Sony book shelf speakers & got that theatrical sound i was searching for!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered this yesterday Thurs 6/24/2021 around 5-6 pm and it arrived around 2 pm today Frid 6/25/2021. Did not pay extra for next day delivery, it was included. Took my time setting everything up. Accessed Easy setup once speakers were connected and receiver was powered on. Went to source HDMI ARC and easily calibrated speakers with the included 'mic.' Chose source TV, then went to YouTube on my PC and played 'American Trilogy," and a word I rarely use came out of my mouth - AWESOME! Beautiful full sound with nice base tones. The receiver I replaced was an almost 30 year old Yamaha that still worked fine but I knew I wasn't getting the full sound that today's technology offers, plus it was silver and stood out behind the glass in my entertainment center. The black is barely visible but for the small power light and source indicator. Everything I wanted and was hoping for this thing is. I highly recommend this unit for anyone looking for a very nice upgrade with similar desires and expectations as I've indicated here. ;-)

He was so knowledgeable about products and helpful. Robert and Devon loaded everything in my van. Great customer service.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit was very easy to set up using 4 surround speakers and a subwoofer. I have a TV, DVD, and DVD recorder hooked up and it makes for a GREAT entertainment system. Very happy with how it performs along with the iPhone bluetooth feature.
