[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had tried connecting my 4K monitor to my MacBook Pro (Early 2015 13-inch with Retina display) using an HDMI cable but it was inconsistent in performance: both my laptop screen and the external display would often flash back and forth, and sometimes never settle into a good connection. But this StarTech Display Port to Mini-Display Port cable has worked flawlessly -- and it was cheaper than most HDMI cables, too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After running low on available ports, I needed something to be able to run a second monitor from my gaming laptop. This was one of the few solutions available to me considering the available ports on my gaming monitor. It's pretty straight-forward: the mini DisplayPort end goes into my laptop, and the DisplayPort end goes into my monitor. Works just fine, nothing else to set up.

I purchased to take advantage of additional features on my new UHD monitor that required a DisplayPort instead of HDMI cable. My Mac Mini only had a Mini DisplayPort jack so I needed a way to connect to the full size port on the monitor.

Display port SUPPORTS higher refresh rates, so if you have a display capable of OVER 120hmz, its probably time to replace that HDMI cable with a display port cable, IF your system and monitor both support displayport!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a solid DisplayPort to Mini DisplayPort cable that works with my Surface Book and 27" Samsung monitor. It's a far improved quality over my previous one. Love the gold connectors. This is rock solid and reliable and will serve me for years of use.

Well, after a lot of trouble shooting with display settings, I discovered that this is THE best and so far only way you can get 2560 x 1660 crisp from MacBook Pro. For those of us that are working in the next dimension paradigm, thank you!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a Surface Pro 6 for work docked up to two monitors. My work gave me a Mini DisplayPort to hdmi adapter, and a hdmi to standard display port cable... too many adapters!... it didn’t work. This cable solved that, and cleaned up my desk.

Whenever I need a cable, other than the standard run of the mill cable, StarTech has it. There customer service staff has been very helpful in identifying the proper product # and I receive the shipment on the date promised.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like most USB Ports, there's a little jiggle movement when plugged into a computer, monitor. I wish it was more snug. I don't want to be at risk of loosing my connection to my hard drive just because i moved my laptop.
