  • Product and Tripp-Lite support great, BestBuy warehousing? (poor?)

from Hamilton, ON on 15 février 2017

BestBuy sold it to me Dec 2016 and it was mfg'd Jan-Mar 2016. It needs to be charged every 3 months when not in use or you risk permanent loss of capacity - so mine wouldn't charge. Tripp-Lite shipped a replacement to my door (sweet ;-). I could've returned it to BestBuy. But are the rest in the warehouse also dead? it even a BestBuy warehouse? The Tripp-Lite support was hassle free. Based on mfg date they didn't even care about purchase or registration proof (it was within the 2 yr warranty). The instructions though are poorly organized. Information is buried in several paragraphs. They need to organize the actions and status conditions into a table for easy look up. I created my own table/list and might post on Youtube (search for "tripp lite action table"). Connected equipment: NAS (QNAP TS-212P) it sees the UPS and monitors the available power (about 17 minutes).

  • good product.

I am into two weeks of use and find it a very good peace of mind as far as protecting my equipment; is light, doesn't heat like some other components, nothing to it to instal, I highly recommend it.

  • Great value if it works

from Halifax, NS on 16 février 2014

I've always been a user of Tripp-Lite products since 1998, they're good value and have good features for the price. APC products have always cost more and often don't have as many features. But a product that doesn't work is not good value. The first thing I noticed out-of-the box was how light it was, the battery was installed; the unit just "felt" cheap. Then came the fun part, after 3 days it would just beep for no apparent reason. We have 4 UPS's in our home and countless at work so I know when something is wrong with these. This Tripp-Lite Internet350U went back to the store, received the refund and picked up and picked up an "APC Back-UPS 550" for the same price. Now that is a good unit and I highly recommend it!!
