    Questionable Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have heard if you are having trouble with these, you need to cut the write speed to 4 and the target area to 4300. I'm glad I only bought a few of these.

    Always satisfied with these discs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used many different brands of blank DVD media over the years and I always come back to these. I have found cheaper discs, but the number of bad burns I wind up getting with other brands has always led me back to Verbatim. When you wind up having to re-burn discs because of dropouts on cheaper brand discs, I've found it isn't worth all the extra time, the heartbreaking discovery that something you thought was archived properly needs to be redone, of the worry that maybe the disc you've just burned isn't right, it just isn't worth taking a chance. These discs are still very affordable and they work perfectly virtually EVERY time! That's worth a few mere dollars to me.

    Superb Product!

    Reviewed by - July 31, 2011

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Verbatim discs for 10 years! These discs have always been quality and dependable. I won't settle for any other disc. I've done extensive research on quality burns, playback and player compatibility. These discs beat out all the other discs I tested (Taiyo Yuden, Imation, Maxell, Sony, Memorex, Fuji, Sonic, Ridata, Phillips, Leda....). If I absolutely have to use an alternate, I go with the Sony brand. The person that rated these with one star is obviously a newbie to burning and probably needs to replace his burner and not the discs.....

    Verbatim DVD-R _ Grade: B

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - May 19, 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A point of considerable agitation are those moments after I've recorded a desired program when a "Recording Error" message pops up during the finalization process. The damaged disk can't be salvaged, so it becomes trash. In my experience, bad disks typically account for the loss of about 5% of the total in a Verbatim package. Not terrible, in terms of the monetary loss, but the loss of the recorded data is EXTREMELY frustrating. I've used brands that are less reliable than Verbatim, but I've also used brands that are more reliable. So, while it's unlikely that I would ever be in a situation to recommend a brand of recordable DVDs, if I were, I could recommend Verbatim DVDs as a good value when they're on sale. At full price or in situations where recording reliability is paramount, I would likely recommend a different brand.

    they are great for recording

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - March 2, 2019

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There really isn't much to say about blank DVD's. They either work, or they don't. These work just fine for me. I find it hard to believe that with all of the people in this country that record the news, and other things for a permanent record, that I've heard that companies are soon to stop manufacturing blank DVD's. That to me seems to be a bit foolish. There's still money to be made. But they could be cheaper in price. I would like that.

    What I needed

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - August 19, 2013

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Randomly running through the pc department for accessories for a pc build. And came across the media disc. Couldn't find any for this price till the sales person pointed his toe at it. Eureka! A hundred disc for 25 bucks. I've found it since for $14.99 but is too lazy to go back for price matching. It's great for transferring projects from my home pc to laptop to continue on the go. No problem with these disc so far...

More To Life Than Just Death And Taxes!

    Reviewed by The7thMarxBrother - November 14, 2025

Yes, there is more to life than just death and taxes! There are also family and friends! I have been using this product for more years than I would like to admit - I am 74 y o now - and the vast majority of my original recordings for myself still work! While the odd product arrives at my home within a slightly cracked container or on only 2 occasions a single DVD (out of over 100 cases) within the collection was destroyed, I have been quite happy with this product. I am so confident in this product that I occasionally give a DVD to very good and close friends and also a family friend confined to a hospital bed for the last 18 years - our grandparents were great lifelong friends - who was severely injured when his car was hit while transporting himself to and from his job. Yes, I have great confidence in this product, and some among my family and friends know about it!! Carry On The Good Work!

    Better for storage

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - June 10, 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After problems with flash drives, I chose to start saving pictures on disks. DVD's hold more data than CD's. I just have to remember to label them. The spools don't take much space and I've never had problems with Verbatim brand items. To some this may be an obsolete form of storage but I don't need the newest or fastest media. This will be sufficient for my needs.
