Scratch magnet.
- July 21, 2025[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced the 15 year old Amana cook top with the Whirlpool. After first use scratches and marks developed on the stove top. It’s a scratch magnet. We have been using the factory prescribed cleaning liquid but has no effect. Otherwise, the cook top works great.

My New Glass Stovetop
- November 5, 2022[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My previous glass stovetop did not properly fit the counter opening, and when I cleaned it, it wiggled around, finally developing some cracks. Not wanting to use a cracked electric stove, I carefully measured the counter space, and found this Whirlpool, which is exactly the right size! I am so happy that I purchased it! I works beautifully, and looks elegant in my kitchen.

Great product
- June 3, 2019[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I redid my kitchen after over 30 years of looking at the same appliances (except microwaves). I chose this stove and I’m still learning it. So far I like all of the features except that the surface stays hot for a long time after it has been turned off. I am accustomed to cleaning my stove when I finish cooking. So far that is the only thing that’s not A+ with me.

Clean up bad
- February 19, 2022[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had my new cooktop for 3 weeks. I like everything about it except it always leaves stains after each time I cook. I have to use Cerama Bryte every time I cook. I hate this. My last one wasn’t this way. I only used a strong cleaner every once in awhile. Not sure there won’t be a warranty claim if this continues.

Big Shoes to Fill
- March 6, 2024[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this as it was the closest in size and design we could find to our 30 year old Amana cooktop. Have used for nine days and so far, no problems. Unlike the old cooktop, this new one does not have a “quick boil” (high-output) burner. Nonetheless, the burners all seem to heat up in about the same amount of time as our old ones did (reasonable amount of time). We like that the control knobs have sturdy rubber gaskets between the bottom of the knob and the top of the glass; this will help to deter gunk from getting inside the cooktop. Glass surface is very shiny and readily shows dust, fingerprints, oils and streaks, even after cleaning, but so far, does not seem any more susceptible to scratching than our old one did. The old cooktop hid smudges much better! Unless the burner is on and red, on the new cooktop, it’s actually a little hard to see the “circle” where the pot goes. Also, there is a “hot surface” indicator light, but unlike the older cooktop, it does not indicate which burner is still hot - only that the cooktop is hot somewhere on the surface. Many people have commented that the “pointer” indentations on the knobs are difficult to see. Two coats of a little white craft paint applied with a toothpick took care of that issue. Have included two photos of new cooktop and one of old, for comparison. We were very happy with our previous cooktop and can only hope this new Whirlpool cooktop performs as reliably and for as long as its predecessor!

Disappointed
- November 2, 2024[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this about a month ago and a bit disappointed with it. It never looks clean. I have just been using water to clean it because I am unsure of what type of cleaner to use on it and will go to my appliance store to purchase the correct cleaner. It heats up nice, but like my other cooktop, it just does not have that pristine clean look. You can tell where the pans sit on it and it is not scratched. I should have either purchased the gas cooktop or the electric coil cooktop. I am kicking myself that I purchased another glass cooktop.

Cooks well but it's slightly unfinished.
- September 28, 2019[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The cook-top arrived in good condition, installed with ease, and cooks like a charm BUT, the all black knobs have a poorly delineated groove indicating the position. It is all but impossible to see. The settings for the burners are border line invisible, (see the attached photo) I enhanced the knobs on mine by filling grooves with white correction fluid. (see attached photo)

Like our cooktop
- June 6, 2021[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had to have our quartz cut another 1/8 of an inch for it to fit as a replacement, but it is now installed. I like the texture and the knobs that pop when turned off. I would love for the knobs to have a white mark to see where they are pointing for my husband. Overall I really like the cooktop.

It's okay
- December 13, 2021[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 3rd Whirlpool Cooktop and unfortunately I wish I had gotten a different one. The problem with this model is that there is only 1 large burner, so if you are trying to cook several things in larger pots that's difficult. Also, the only large burner is a Dual burner, so it can be large or small, I think this is the reason it seems to take so long to heat things up. The settings are Low, Medium or High, where if you had a regular burner the settings would go from 1 - 8 or more. I have always been very satisfied with my other Whirlpool appliances, until this one. I would not recommend this model and I would not purchase it again.

Great cooktop, very compact
- November 26, 2021[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We remodeled our whole kitchen and in order to utilize some space we decided to put a cooktop and wall oven instead of a regular stove. We love it and don't regret getting the whirlpool.
