I have it installed for about 3 months. Giving me a an anxiety attack middle of the night. Thinking there is break in. Upon checking my kitchen the glass piece shattered all over stove and floor. Beautiful front piece aswell hood. Just the cheap tapes ruined it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the sleek look. I found this one to go with my new appliances that are black stainless steel and it looks great. It is kind of loud on high setting. The only reason I did not give a 5 star is because I have yet to find the charcoal filters.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the look of this over the range hood. Only negatives are that fingerprints are very noticeable against the dark face. Also, a negative would be that the fan is very loud. Otherwise it does the job and it’s improve the look of our kitchen.

I rent out multiple houses, one is a large single family that came with the old microwave over the range. The microwave didn't do enough for the tenants as when they would kick for larger families the vent on the microwave couldn't handle it. I had one of these installed and not only does it give more headroom over the range but also does a much better job cleaning the smoke and odor. I bought the charcoal filters you easily clip on back and works great. I use it to recirculate instead of venting to outside and works far superior to the microwave.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this for a kitchen remodel. The bottom is canted up at an angle so when you look at it, you see the entire bottom. Why would I want to look at the bottom of the exhaust fan? To top it off, the edge of the filters is blue. Huh? I pick out countertop colors, tile colors, and cabinet colors only to have a fairly bright blue introduced? Also, each of the two filters look different - they do not match. Oh, by the way, our guy hooked it up and it does not turn on! We confirmed there is power going to the unit. Ugh.

Fan controls unable to turn off boost function when selected, requires disconnecting power supply, as a technician myself, this is similar to a stuck relay, although this is located on a control board and part cost is more than the very premium price paid for the unit. As these models appear to be discontinued by whirlpool the big boxes still have inventory, so beware of this poorly electrically engineered expensive device where parts exceed the MSRP of the assembly, couldn’t give zero stars

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First this is a great looking hood. Excellent controls and it’s fan, while loud, could suck a golf ball through a garden hose. When I say loud, that’s a good thing since it’s all about airflow and while I have had a quieter unit, this thing is much more efficient. The one star off is for the charcoal filters. The stock Whirlpool ones are pricey and it took some time to even find some in stock at another online store. Of course I knew that going in, but still, no point for you Whirlpool.

We purchased this from a picture only, as Best Buy doesn't carry them in stock. After installation, I found that from the front it is very unattractive, as it slopes front to back, so all you see is the fan grills. Worse than that, though, is the on/off buttons. It is a smooth touch-sensitive panel, with fan on/off, low, medium, high and what they call 'boost', which sounds like a jet engine taking off in my kitchen. Normally, no problem, don't use it. But, Boost is right next to the light on/off button, and they are very close together. The number of times I have hit the Boost by mistake trying to turn off the light is ridiculous. Not fun in the late evening or early morning when you don't want to turn the bright overhead lights on. Will return and get something with a better design.

Purchased a few months ago. Have no issues with the functionality - it works as expected. But as the previous reviewer stated, the design is not at all adequate - it’s an under cabinet unit that tilts upwards and every part of the underside is visible. It’s currently clean because it’s new but as it starts showing it’s age with normal wear and usage, it’s going to look horrible.

He did an amazing job, so knowledgeable and even with a less than perfect installation project that was left in the home,he Took the time to make sure it was installed correctly and did a beautiful job! I can't thank him enough for making my kitchen beautiful!
