    Smart Electric Dryer

    Reviewed by - July 16, 2020

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best dryer I have ever owned. The Whirlpool 7.4 cu. ft. Smart Chrome Shadow Electric Vented Dryer with Steam, ENERGY STAR is so quiet. My king size comforter fits and it dries faster than ever thanks to this dryer’s huge capacity. The steam feature hooked up easily with a special hose splitter … the washer’s cold water line shares with the dryer. Anyway, the steam feature is amazing. The steam refreshes my clothes perfectly when I forget to pull the clothes out right away. It really does get the wrinkles out. The dryer door has a catch so that it can stay propped open 8.25 inches. The large lint screen is 12 inches wide and is 10 ¾ inches at its tallest point. The drum inside is super big…27 in. wide and 26 in. deep. My husband and I installed this dryer in about an hour. Four plastic feet are included and the customer/installer has to install them. We had a hard time with the feet but only because we were using pliers instead of using a wrench like the instructions recommended. In the end, all four adjustable feet are installed and I have a wonderful working dryer. The dryer is very sturdy and well-made. I bet it lasts a lifetime especially since it’s a Whirlpool. Setting up this dryer was no problem at all and I am so happy with this new appliance. I really do love it.

So so happy we chose this dryer

    Reviewed by - July 14, 2020

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are a over the top washing drying family. We generally purchase a washer dryer set every 2 years. Usually after the first 2 days my wife starts to complain about the drying or washing capability of the washer or dryer. This time She has said nothing but great things about both whirlpool appliances. It usually put me in a bind because after a purchase the return procedure of other vendors leaves you without a machine for a day or two. And with the frequency of our washing schedule that will not work for us. This dryer is an awesome machine with an shadow glass awesome cosmetic design. Thank you so much for finally making her / me happy. :)

    Quality at a reasonable price

I've owned this pair for a bit over a month. I am completely satisfied with my purchase. Installation was easy. I have the stacking kit and stacked they are quite stable. Very efficiant on water usage, when I saw how little water it used I was skeptical that the washer would actually clean the cloths. It does with the least amount of water neccesary. I am impressed. Its quiet and even while washing heavy load like sleeping bags it spins smoothly. I like the dryer also but the washer is the is the critical one of the pair. I recommend it to anyone in need of a reasonably priced machine that works well but without all the bells and whistles.

    Second time around

    Reviewed by - February 1, 2015

The high-efficiency and low-water-use features were important to my choice of this washer. The spin cycle at the end of the wash cycle is very strong, leaving the clothes holding less water than other washers. Having the clothes spun so well shortens the time in the dryer, thus saving electricity. This is the second time I have purchased the Duet washer. Loved the first one, so when we moved to a new house, leaving the appliances for the new occupants of that house, we bought exactly the same thing again for the new house. The front loading is important to me, so we have the washer on a pedestal. I recommend the pedestal.

    Satisfied!

    Reviewed by - February 6, 2015

I have had my new whirlpool front-end loader washing machine and the corresponding dryer for over 2 months. I am overall satisfied with their performance. I am really happy that the washer uses about one third of the water my old top loading machine used too, and does a better job at getting those pesky spots off. Both machines are not too noisy; my only negative thought is their size.In a time when computers are becoming smaller and smaller, it seems, not only whirlpool but all brands of washers and dryers, are becoming bigger and bigger. I just wonder why as the cubic volumes of the drums are the same as old models.

I got this dryer about a month ago- and so far I'm extremely satisfied w/purchase. I love all the drying options. Love the lint remover inside the door which is so easy to remove and clean. Since I opted for the pedestals- I can't tell you how easy it is to add and remove the clothes w/out having to stand on my head to make sure I got all the clothes removed. It is at eye level and somehow now doing laundry is quite enjoyable- yeah!!!! Also- love the beep which alerts me the laundry is dry.

This dryer is very good. The dryer does exactly what it was described as advertised. It never over dries, you can put it on medium and it will sense when its dried. I wear sweaters and like to put them in the dryer on medium, they come out soft and dried. The jeans are perfect when setting on high, no putting on the dryer again to get them dry. And the other good feature is that the dryer is very large, so you can make a large load for towels they will come out dry, and perfect. Love this dryer and I am so glad that I picked out a whirlpool as I had many products of theirs before and they were always excellent.

    Good quality.

I bought this dryer about a month ago. It dries clothes very well, has a large capacity, and sufficient options. Good product for a decent price. I particularly like the EcoBoost and Wrinkle Shield features. My only complaint is that when I dry queen or king size sheets with a few small items, clothes or the flat sheet get balled up inside the fitted sheet, even though I shake them before I put them in the dryer. Then the sensor element determines the load to be dry, when in actuality it is not. I take out the items that are dryer and use Time Dry for the wet sheets. I do not believe I am overloading the dryer.

    So far, it's been great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased the matching pair of washer and dryer. The first thing that we noticed was that they were very quiet compared to our old Bosch machines. Our laundry room is on the main floor and you have to walk past them to use the main floor washroom. They look very good and that was important. The only issue that I'd like to resolve is the water pressure in the washer. We have the faucet barely on to keep the water from spraying above the tub and leaking onto the floor. If the water stream was pointed down into the tub more, we could turn up the water volume and fill the huge tub much quicker. Just a thought.
