[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to say that I'm pleased with the appearance of this hood. If you have standard 12" cabinets, it will stick out a bit but it's not unsightly. I was hoping that the fan would be capable of moving a bit more air. The fan in this unit is a turbine type design and these just aren't as effective as centrifugal blowers in other hoods. I would say that if you are just an occasional cook, this is a good hood to clear cooking odors, but if you are cooking on a daily basis, and especially if you brown meat or make roasts that give off large volumes of smoke, a more capable hood would be better. That said, it's a whole lot better than a recirculating hood.

Since I didn't have a vent to outside, I was looking for a stylish range hood that had the functions I needed; variable speeds, good lighting. But my first choice was that it as a recirculating hood. The underside of this range hood, has a grease filter, but since I was using it as recirculating hoot, I ordered a set of carbon filters as well form Whirlpools website. What is really unique are the air vents on top of the hood, you don't even see them, they certainly push out a lot air. This Wirlpool range hood met all my needs and if I ever put in a vent to outside, it can easily convert to handle that as well.

This unit is terrible. It is very loud, the lights are very hot and the the finish is dull and rough. The protective coating was removed and I've scrubbed for an hour with various products to remove the dark lines of glue residue with no luck. There is a metal plate on the top that does not sit flush impedes opening of the upper cabinet. Very disappointed.

I bought this Stainless Steel Range Hood about 3 weeks ago to replace an older hood and to match the new Stainless Steel Range which we also purchased. They installed it the next day. Installation was very fast and installer was very capable and he even commented on its looks as he had never seen one before. Fit was perfect, looks Outstanding. Better than the previous model. Wife is Extremely happy with it and takes great care in keeping it looking like new. Very glad to have made this purchase and everyone who has seen it have commented on it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased a different Whirlpool hood previously that did not work very well. I exchanged it for this Whirlpool hood and it's much better, however I still have some issues with it. When I cook steak or something that will have some smoke it doesn't take care of all the smoke. Eventually my fire alarms go off, but the hoods being made nowadays aren't much better. This hood was better than the other ones that were offered. The ones I did want to purchase were no longer being made, but was still on the site. This was the best I could do.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a Whirlpool range hood to match the other Whirlpool appliances we were purchasing, which meant I only had a few options to choose from. I read the reviews for the Whirlpool range hoods and chose one that was moderately priced, but still powerful and quiet. We are very pleased with the sleek appearance as well as its great operation in our new kitchen. The only thing I would have preferred is LED lights instead of halogen (they are not as energy-efficient and they get hotter.)

We have had this for a few weeks now and it works great. This was my husband's first time installing a range hood, and installation was fairly easy with no major problems. The underneath side looks really nice compared to other hoods in the same price range. My only complaints are that the fan can be quite loud on the highest setting, and the halogen lights get really hot. I'm hoping I can replace them with LED bulbs. Overall though, I am satisfied with this purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are very pleased with our purchase here, we looked at many much more expense units as we wanted to make sure we made a purchase we didn't regret. We are are pleased with this. The lighting is nice and bright, covers the our entire cook top brightly. The noise level is good on low, only wish it was a bit quieter on the medium and high settings but I guess that would have cost us $500+

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this as an open box item. Over all it's nice but I don't know if I would have spent $325 for it at full price. I do like that it can be used with or with out external ventilation. The two 40w halogen lights are crisp and bright. The fan is pretty quite on low and medium. Definitely louder on high, but it moves some serious air. Still sounds pretty solid thought.
