Set the high impedance/low impedance switch to the high impedance (HL) position for optimal coupling and operating efficiency.

Briefly press the transmitter button and adjust the knob to dim the LED indicator until it goes out or reaches minimum brightness.

If the LED indicator brightness is not ideal after adjustment, switch to low impedance and repeat the process.

The LED indicator may not go out completely, but the antenna is tuned to normal operating conditions.

Switch the tuning/operation switch to the operation position to start communicating with long-distance radios!
