Control Grip is better than an ordinary immersion blender

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - June 26, 2021

The control grip has been a great purchase because of its versatility. I bought it while shopping for a new immersion blender and have used every part of this kit as much as or more than the simple immersion blender to make pesto, hummus, gazpacho and more. The immersion blender itself works great with its multiple speeds. Though I did burn it out - making spot prawn and crab bisque when a piece of tenacious crab shell refused to break - Breville replaced it for a very fair price even though it was year old and out of warranty. Excellent purchase, tool and service; I would definitely recommend this product to others.

    I feel so fancy now

    Reviewed by Vic - February 6, 2017

Our Oster immersion blender died one night just as I was prepping to blend a fresh batch of soup. We got through that fiasco, but needed to look into buying a replacement quick, as I tend to use the immersion blender quite a bit. My mom's become a big Breville fan, buying up their entire line-up it feels, and so, I was coming around to the idea of "splurging" a bit on our replacement. Lucky for us, the Breville happened to go on sale, and we picked it up for [price] off. Let me tell you, unboxing this puppy made me feel like we had really stepped up our immersion blender game. It feels good. It looks good. I love all of the extra pieces (I had somehow entirely glossed over the part that mentioned you also got a mini chopper - that was a fun surprise!). It works super well. I love the ability to change speeds. No regrets.

Great immersion blender - crappy chopping bowl.

    Reviewed by - July 26, 2022

I use the immersion blender and whisk all the time and love both attachments. I have only used the chopping bowl a few times, but it's been great for making salsa. However, I noticed this weekend when I took it out that it had 2 large cracks running from the center to the edges, and liquid leaked out while mixing. While looking online for a replacement part, I noticed in the reviews that this seems like a common occurrence, so now I'm reluctant to purchase a replacement bowl to have it potentially just happen again. Please upgrade the quality of the chopping bowl, and then you'd have a stellar appliance.

    Best Method for making soups!

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - January 26, 2021

Received as a Christmas gift for making soups in a 12 litre stock pot. The Breville Immersion blender worked perfectly. It was quick, easy to hold, easy to clean up and did the job well. Used to use a food processor to make my soups but using a Breville Immersion Blender is an easier and more efficient method.

    Great Power

    Reviewed by Victoriajam - January 10, 2021

We’ve had this blender for about two months and despite my partner’s original scepticism this blender has been excellent. So far we’ve mostly used it for smoothies and roasted vegetable soups and the variable speed and suction action does a great job. There’s lots of power when you need it and it’s really easy to clean. The chopper is great too and we will use it more often in future but it takes a bit more cleaning than the blender.

    Breville control grip

Reviewed by Marion Willms - June 23, 2013

this hand blender took half the time as the previous immersion blender to blend up spinach, carrots, tomatoes, pineapple, apple, strawberries. It was a smoothie consistency. it chopped and pulverized as it was blending. it handled a fairly large amount too. It has much more power than the one I used before. the handle is a bit difficult to hold but once I got used to gripping it, it was much better.

Mainly used to make a daily morning smoothie

    Reviewed by - February 22, 2024

I got this as a Christmas present 2 years ago and love it! The only thing that could make it better would to be cordless. I make smoothies every morning with frozen fruit and my husband has a hard time with the sound of blenders. So I was searching for something that would provide me with a quieter sound but also multi functional. This fits the bill! What I wasn't expecting is that I can blend a smoothie faster with this than in a blender! 2+ years and still going strong. I have had a problem recently with the chopping bowl when I try to chop and blend anything with a liquid it has been leaking up and out, which it never did before. Tonight I noticed a small chip on the edge so I'm actually here to buy a replacement bowl, which I'm happy they sell!

    Great product

    Reviewed by Dorothy - October 23, 2018

Just bought this a few weeks ago and love it. I use it to blend, mix, etc. I was able to get rid of my food processor and hand mixer. Not that I used the processor much but for me this hand immersion blander it good enough.
