Just bought this a few weeks ago and love it. I use it to blend, mix, etc. I was able to get rid of my food processor and hand mixer. Not that I used the processor much but for me this hand immersion blander it good enough.

Our old Salton immersion blender died on me just as I needed to purée a pea soup a couple of weeks ago. One of my favourite chefs had just used the Breville immersion blender on one of her shows so I decided to do a little more research, which I did and, fortunately for me, Best Buy had it on sale so I ordered one. It got here very quickly and though the box was a little banged up there was nothing wrong with the unit itself. I love the variable speed dial, that's what our old one had as well and I love the grip on the Breville, again, very similar to our Salton but what I love most is that it is actually 3 machines in one. I haven't used the whisk attachment yet but I have used the mini chopper several times and as an immersion blender once. The mini chopper is great for softer fruits & veggies but it didn't do well with raw carrots, even though I chopped it into small pieces first. It did a great job of finely chopping onions and garlic for my homemade hamburgers though. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to replace, or buy for the first time, an immersion blender.

Our Oster immersion blender died one night just as I was prepping to blend a fresh batch of soup. We got through that fiasco, but needed to look into buying a replacement quick, as I tend to use the immersion blender quite a bit. My mom's become a big Breville fan, buying up their entire line-up it feels, and so, I was coming around to the idea of "splurging" a bit on our replacement. Lucky for us, the Breville happened to go on sale, and we picked it up for [price] off. Let me tell you, unboxing this puppy made me feel like we had really stepped up our immersion blender game. It feels good. It looks good. I love all of the extra pieces (I had somehow entirely glossed over the part that mentioned you also got a mini chopper - that was a fun surprise!). It works super well. I love the ability to change speeds. No regrets.

The only immersion blender that won't damage my non stick pots. Love the adjustable speeds. Lots of power for large batch of soup. Very easy to use with a comfortable grip and long power cord.

Works well for making fruit spreads and for creaming soups and creates less dishes when used in the same pot as the food was made in. Convenient. Easy storage. Easy to clean.
