- Good ink for the price for text- September 1, 2017
I have had expensive printers which also took expensive ink. When my last printer died, I looked at the cost of the ink as well as the printer. I don't require high glossy images - I need something that prints text. The cost to replace these cartridges is a lot cheaper than many others like HP. If you predominantly use your printer for text, you can't go wrong with Brother Products. Cheaper, efficient and so far I've had no complaints for either the hardware, or the branded replacement cartridges. If you need a higher quality print, then I probably wouldn't recommend them - but for basic day-to-day, absolutely.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Great Until it Runs Out...- November 17, 2015
This is the most unique printer I've ever owned. The ink cartridges discharge even while you're not using them. Yes, you read that right. For example, you install a new cartridge and print some documents. You walk away and don't need the printer for a couple of weeks. When you return, you find the cartridge is now about half full. What makes this game even funner is that there are three other colored cartridges that are doing the same thing. I only use this printer several times a month, yet I am always replacing cartridges. It's unreal. I can't speak to other Brother products, but this model sucks! No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
- Good ink. But I have an issue with the printer.- May 12, 2014
Seems to be good ink. My problem is with the printer that it goes to. There is no easy setting to use "Black Ink Only". So even set to monochrome and an other setting, the printer still eats up the color cartridges. To top it off, when any one of the four cartridges goes empty you CANNOT print until you replace the empty one. So you want to print in black but you can't because you're out of yellow. There is a new firmware update I need to try, so maybe they've corrected this. Any printer that won't let you print Black Only, is a sorry printer. Sad, for an otherwise good printer.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
