Caline DCP-02 Brutus Distortion

The new DCP Series of pedals from our friends at Caline are all Dual Effects, featuring two of your favorite Caline pedals in one enclosure. With the effects ranging from overdrive to EQ to distortion to compression to fuzz and more, there’s something in this lineup for everyone. Today, we’re going to take a look at the DCP-02 Brutus Distortion Overdrive, a powerful dual-dirt combo that packs a punch and adds to your tone.

The Distortion side of the Brutus features Caline’s , giving you that classic British, sound. The 4-knob configuration of Volume, Drive, Treble and Lomid gives you all the tone options needed to reproduce the famous Plexitone sound and that identifiable classic rock distortion. This produces a wide and dynamic sound from just above overdrive to a crunchy distortion with lots of low dirt and growl when required.

On the Overdrive side, we’ve got Caline’s , a classic tubescreamer overdrive effect. The three-control section gives you Treble (output), Gain (drive) and Volume knob to adjust to taste. The circuit features true-bypass wiring, and the world-renowned 4558 chip provides a full, versatile sound. The smooth tones and rich harmonics it creates have made it a favorite among blues, rock, fusion and metal guitar players.

There’s a Voice switch present as well, which sets the order in which these two effects are placed in your signal chain, for differing results.
