The imageFORMULA DR-M140II office document scanner features two versatile paper feed paths: the default U-turn path, and a user-selectable straight feeding path. The multiple feeding paths allow this scanner to handle a variety of document types, including mixed batches, thick, thin, long or wide documents, business cards, and plastic cards. The default U-turn path also contributes to the compact body design of the DR-M140II scanner, helping to maximize desk space and enable users to scan documents seamlessly, without the need for a lengthy feed or eject tray. The scanner also offers pickup feeding for reliability and accuracy upon initiating a scan. The DR-M140II scanner can process up to 40 pages per minute and holds up to 80 sheets in the feeder. The scanner also has the ability to scan in colour, grayscale, and black-and-white.

Bundled Software To Simplify Tasks

The imageFORMULA DR-M140II scanner helps to simplify scanning tasks with the included Canon Capture OnTouch scanning software. With the ability to scan to a variety of file formats, including JPG, PNG, PPTX, Word, Excel, PDF, and more, the bundled software helps widen the scope of scanning possibilities. High-quality imaging and a variety of image processing functions allow users to enhance scanned images and text for readability and accuracy. For example, unwanted colour elements such as lines and shaded boxes can be removed from a scanned document with Colour Dropout. Alternatively, Colour Enhancement can be used to make colour elements more visible. Other image processing functions, such as Character Emphasis, which intentionally thickens specific lines or characters, can be used to improve the visibility and display of a document.
