- BARISTA QUALITY ON A BUDGETReviewed by Hmirza - October 12, 2020
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you are looking for coffee shop espresso or cappuccino or just want to bring the Barista home but don’t want to spend a lot of money then the De’Longhi Silosa is the perfect espresso machine for you. The De’Longhi has become our new espresso machine and we absolutely love it. We are able to make great tasting coffee and espresso with the perfect froth right at home. The De’Longhi Stilosa is a 15-bar pump espresso maker with a stainless-steel broiler for that perfect coffee extraction. The Stilosa comes in a matte black and stainless-steel finish and comes with a filter holder for ground coffee, 1 or 2 cup, measuring spoon and tamper and 1-liter removable water tank and drip. The stainless-steel steamer for the cappuccinos and lattes wand doubles as a hot water dispenser for teas. The drip tray adjusts to accommodate different size cups.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. - Compact, sleek & easy to use Frother is a plus!Reviewed by 69Pace - August 29, 2020
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The enclosed manual is precise and easy to follow for set-up and usage. This compact expresso machine is light, simple and the black and stainless-steel finish, makes it appear sleek on the kitchen counter. Because of its size, this machine is perfect in a kitchen lacking counter space. The size and construction of it are for those who enjoy expresso drinks yet do not want bulk of a professional style expresso maker. There are many pros to this machine: heats up quickly for immediate use, built-in, rotatable frother, comes with a portafilter that has two filters, for single or double shot espresso(can make two cups at one time or one double cup), one knob for all the functions simplifies usage yet still delivers a quality expresso, the water reservoir can be removed to fill, the plastic tamper has a scoop on opposite end to measure coffee, discrete storage area for filter is located under the lid which covers water reservoir. Some of the cons are that it is loud, the frother does not come with an extra frothing pitcher, the frother is a bit messy causing milk to splash on the machine and counter, many of its parts are plastic yet durable. I am confident is will last a long time because of the De'longhi brand. These cons do not outweigh the positives and would make a nice addition to any household that appreciates specialty coffees. I recommend that water be run through it a couple of times before making your first beverage. My daughter enjoyed making her first Pumpkin Spice Iced Latte! It resembled a latte one would order in a café.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. - Easy to use!Reviewed by ncstargazing - August 28, 2020
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is very reminiscent of the one I used when I worked in an internet cafe, except much easier to use. The steam nozzle is positionable to to areas both inside and outside the tray, with the control located on the side of the machine. The included scoop/tamper combination tool is a great space-saver and makes for easier cleanup. Double-shot and single-shot filters are included. My cabinets are mounted at standard height and the lid opens perfectly without hitting it. However, I have to slide out the machine in order to remove and replace the water reservoir (the tank is very tall). The cord is more than long enough to position anywhere on my countertop, although I placed mine in front of an outlet to hide it. One piece of advice: run the steamers before you froth your beverage. for the best effect. Also, run a little steam afterward, to clean the wand. Overall, this is a great looking machine that’s simple to use and easy to clean.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. - Future Espresson Snob in the MakingReviewed by Martha328 - August 29, 2020
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I did a lot of research on how to successfully work this thing before leaving this review. I wanted to make sure I was fair with my assessment. I would definitely recommend the same course of action for anyone else his completely unaware of how these things work. Anyway... this is such an incredible machine. It’s very user friendly and the upkeep is minimal. It’s the perfect size (smaller than a keurig) which means it doesn’t take up too much counter space. It doesn’t take very long to heat up, something I really appreciate. Perfect for a beginner!

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. - I’m a Barista!Reviewed by APFLORES413 - October 20, 2020
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love espresso as I’ve felt it gives me that extra boost to my coffee experience in the morning. Regular coffee is great, but I’ve felt that my body has grown accustomed to that double-shot addition to my morning routine. I just didn’t want to spend $5 at the coffee shop every morning which adds up. Thankfully, I now can enjoy my espresso shots from home and that matches my budget. After a few weeks of usage, I am impressed with DeLonghi’s 15 bar pump. Pros: -Easy set up: this is my first espresso machine and wondered how easy/difficult it would be in brewing my own espresso. Set up was easy as you are given clear instructions to clear out first with water before using it. The included Portafilter comes with 2 different shot options (1 or 2 shots). The water tank holds around 35 oz of water. -Daily usage: pretty straight forward. You place the amount of espresso powder into the Filter, scooped up by the included Measuring Spoon and Tamper. I went straight for the double shot, using espresso fro Illy. Turing it on, you have to wait about a minute before you can switch the Nobel to the pouring stage. You do have to eyeball how much you want to dispense. Frothing was pretty simple task. Cons: -No Frothing cup or shot glass. I wished these were included in the box. If you want the full experience, you do have to go out and purchase these items. Otherwise, just a large espresso mug would suffice and pouring regular milk from the carton. -Portafilter cleaning: the filter comes out easily, which is both good and bad. I wanted to remove the used up espresso from the filter and thought I can just turn it upside down and shake the espresso out. Nope. The entire filter fell out. It’s best to just place it under running water and clean it that way. Again, wished they had a way to lock in the filter so you can easily empty out the espresso. Overall, this is a very basic espresso machine. It gets the job done and dispenses the espresso pretty fast. Meets my daily needs which is the most important factor.
