[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This rechargeable battery charger works great. I have had it for about six months without any issues. I originally bought it so that I would be able to recharge C and D batteries, but I was pleasantly surprised when I realized that it charges 9V, AA, and AAA batteries as well! It is nice to have one charger for all of my batteries. Only two 9V batteries can charge at once, but four batteries of the rest of the other types of batteries can charge at once in pairs. I have used Energizer batteries and other brands of batteries in this charger. It recharges the batteries fast despite the brand. It has a green light indicator. The green is solid when the batteries are recharging, but it starts to blink when they are finished. The cord is long, so I always have enough to reach my outlet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This truly universal charger is fabulous, because it charges either 4 size D, 4 - 8 size C, 4 - 8 size AA, 4 - 8 size AAA, or 1 size 9-volt batteries/battery at any given time. I acquired it at an awesome price too.. The unit has an indicator light, when the batteries are charging, which automatically shuts off once the charging process is compete. So, there is zero chance of ever overcharging the batteries. One genuinely exquisite feature is how the included adapter plugs inside the charger unit to keep it safe from loss. Once the AC adapter is tucked inside, the unit can be completely closed and stored away for safekeeping until the next use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace the practice of burning through disposable AA and 9-volt batteries in audio equipment. The AA batteries charged very quickly (up to 8 at a time), but the 9-volt battery (only one can be charged at a time) took well over 10 hours. If the battery was disconnected or the charger was unplugged, the charge meter on the charger would indicate that the 9-volt battery charge had dropped back to 0 and seemingly reset the charge process. A freshly charged (4 bars on the charge meter) AA battery would also drop back to a partial charge according to the charge meter when it was removed. I could have put up with this, but the automatic shut off stopped working and the AA batteries started overheating. I specifically got this model because it was supposed to be able to charge AAA, AA, C, D, and 9-volt batteries, but it does not seem to work well when trying to charge different types at the same time. The charge indicator seems to be very inaccurate and the layout of the battery connectors on the charger itself would benefit from more space. In my opinion, the product would work better if: 1. the adapter was not stowed in the charging compartment, but instead locked into place on one end as it's a hassle to move the spring-loaded sliders out of the way while trying to line up the plug on the adapter 2. the charging compartment itself was large enough to move the 9-volt connector out of the way of the first four AA terminals 3. the automatic shut off worked and the charge indicator was more accurate

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a new parent with a myriad of baby devices that require batteries, I decided to go the green route and purchase rechargeable batteries. I opted for this model because it can charge a variety of battery sizes quickly. The visual charging indicators are a nice feature, as well as, the auto shutoff feature. If charging four 4D batteries with little to no charge, I recommend starting the charge before going to bed to ensure they are fully charged by the morning. With heavy use, you will need to charge the batteries every 3-4 days. Energizer makes another that takes much longer to charge. I recommend spending the extra money for this faster charging model.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In my experience this is the ONLY Energizer charger worth my money. I started with 2 wall plug chargers both fail to recognize batteries often. Then i got the 2 rapid chargers, they report half of my batteries defective (blinking light). I tried the family charger with the clear plastic top, it worked for one day. Good thing I kept my receipt. Got this one, the most expensive model. WORKS GREAT. Even charges the batteries that the rapid charger just "blinks" at glad I saved them. F.Y.I. - My household uses a lot of AA batteries 4 Wii motes 4 Xbox 360 controllers & 4 automatic air fresheners doing the most damage.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This charger is one of the most economical purchases I've ever made. Do you have a baby or toddler? If so, you should own one of these, they recharge everything from the baby swing, crib aquarium to all of those battery operated toys requiring the "AA/AAA's", "C's", D's and even the annoying 9V's......you name it, this charger has you covered. We also use these rechargeables in many of our household items; wireless mice, digital picture frames, carbon monoxide/smoke detectors, flashlights, remote controls, gaming controls, clocks.............the list goes on and on. As a buyer, we are using them at our business and saving thousands all while being green and alleviating waste from our landfills.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm quite pleased with my new Energizer Universal Charger and the speed with which my batteries achieve a full charge. Like many folks, I need batteries for just about every device that I use around the house(remote controls,flash lights,MP3 Player,etc) and I wasn't lost to the fact of all of the wasted money that disposable batteries have cost me over the years.I finally decided to do something about it with this Energizer Universal Charger and I'm glad that I did. This unit has out-performed by expectations and I highly recommend everyone to buy one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a lot of electronic items -- such as camera flashes, recorders, etc. that use a mix of AAA, AA, C and D batteries. I had a lot of rechargeable batteries and chargers and was constantly annoyed by two things: 1) I needed different chargers for different size batteries, and 2) my AAA and AA chargers could only charge four batteries at a time. I bought this unit so that I could have a single charger for all my batteries and so that I could charge up to 8 AA and AAA batteries at the same time. It accomplishes that goal but charges batteries much more quickly than I expected. If you use a lot of rechargeable batteries, this charger will make keeping your batteries charged much easier at a very reasonable cost. Highly recommended.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased to keep game controllers going longer for less money and it's already paying itself off. #1 favorite feature is it charges ANY mAh rated battery. Throw away those dinky wall units. No really. Do it. (I haven't tested other battery brands in this charger yet btw.) Looks nice, has flimsy but sleek cover that hides the charging compartment. Pretty blue LED light panel. Auto shut-off feature allows me to "forget" about the batteries without worrying. Unit will stay lit to indicate full charge for a while then turn itself completely off! :) Wow. Only holds ONE square 9volt at a time which takes up two rows for other batteries which is why I'm rating 4 star. Bad design! C'mon Energizer really? (HINT: Metal detectors and other such devices take multiple square batteries to operate.)
