  • Great kettle!
    Reviewed by ecmvirgo - October 19, 2018

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a simple but elegant design, with technical details that are very appealing to me. Base allows the cord to be stored so it's an appropriate length, kettle can sit down any way within the circle of the base without fumbling around. I have had this kettle for a while now and I am very satisfied with my purchase. A few reviews were not as great and I was very hesitant to order. It seemed that some people had rust problems after a few month. I leave the lid open to ensure that the moisture can escape after boiling water and I never leave any water in it. The hot kettle dries that way pretty quick and it prevents the rust.

  • Waste of money
    Reviewed by ellescriv - March 13, 2020

I was overjoyed when I bought this kettle because its so cute and works so well. I cared for it by only using filtered water, made sure it was always full thought I'd have it for years to come but it died and I literally have to make a screwdriver to try and fix it because I refuse to take it to the dump and buy a new one. (its like brand new no scaling or anything) it is put together with triangle screws! Interesting!!! The reason I purchased this kettle in the first place was I thought it was built to last and I was tired of replacing cheap kettles every couple years and hauling off more plastic waste to the landfill. Looks like kitchenmaid is no different :(

  • Disappointed
    Reviewed by wanda - September 1, 2017

I bought this kettle a couple of week ago. I liked the design and was happy to receive the kettle. I first boiled water, as instructed, and emptied it. The I boiled water for tea. I drank the tea and could taste the plastic. The I became dizzy and my head had a numbing sensation. I opened the lid on the kettle, and could smell the plastic. So I left the lid open to let the plastic air out. The next day I boiled some more water for tea, and I could taste and smell the plastic. Also, had the same reaction--dizziness and numbness to the head. With regret I had to return the kettle. My health comes first.

  • Nice looking but did not last
    Reviewed by Weyman - June 8, 2021

I love Kitchenaid products and bought the electric kettle about three years ago. We liked it so much that we bought the second kettle about nine months later. But the Led on/off switch of both kettles failed within the last five weeks. I am extremely disappointed that these expensive kettles do not last at least 4-5 years. It is definitely not the quality that I expected from Kitchenaid products. Because the kettles were out of the one year warranty, Kitchenaid offered a small discount off their list price for a replacement kettle. I decided not to waste my money for the inferior kettle.

  • Beautiful but does not last!
    Reviewed by cyzz - September 13, 2021

I bought this less than 3 years ago. I loved the look of it and the material looks very durable. It's definitely an expensive kettle but I thought it would last forever just like many other Kitchen Aid products I've purchased before. I don't drink a lot of hot water, at most 2 pots a day, usually 1 only. However, it has stopped working. It won't turn on anymore. I'm very disappointed at the durability as I use it very delicately. I read the reviews and realized that it's actually a common problem. I'm so disappointed that Kitchen Aid cannot stand to its standards and quality anymore.
