[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this on a whim to use with my MacBook Pro with Touchbar (late 2016 version). Given the MacBook only has USB-C connections, the Apple dongle from USB-C to standard USB & HDMI allows me to plug in the narrow-sized USB connector that comes with the R800. I had problems plugging in HDMI and my old USB adapter for an older pointer because the adapter was too wide (see pictures). The R800 packaging also notes it is Windows compatible with no mention of Mac support but it did work for me using PowerPoint 2016. The R800 range is 100 feet vs. standard 50 on most other options. The green laser is bright and strong.

I've tried various products, but none are as good as this one. It's comfortable to use, and the range is long. I've been using this product for years, but I lost it, so I had to buy a new one. It's been a while since I purchased it again, and it's still just as great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used different pointers but this is my favorite. It has a very bright and visible laser to highlight your main points and great range. It has a timer which can be set to vibrate to give a warning on when you're getting close to a time. That feature might be useful if giving a presentation in classes that require you to be within a given time or as I use it to remind me to give my classes breaks. This allows me to stop looking at my watch, which might make it seem like I am bored with teaching and less than interested in what I'm lecturing on. I have nothing bad to say about this pointer. Great point, great points, good price!

After an associate's not one but two remotes failed to work at a recent convention, I rushed out to Best Buy and snagged the Logitech R800 remote. It plugged in and it worked! A couple things to note: the USB is old-school USB-A so I had to use an A to C adaptor, and that kinda sucks. I just keep the adaptor in the little silk carry sack that comes with the remote. The remote's USB doggle stores inside the actual remote so that is good. And though I didn't use the unit's built-in bright green "LASER" pointer for a presentation yet, it certainly kept the cat busy! ;) Not the cheapest remote out there but solid in working order and in the hand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to buy this over the previous model without the LCD screen to take advantage of the added features that comes with this model including the longer range of about 100 ft, the ability to time presentations and receive discrete alerts (vibrates) as the set time approaches. Also, I prefer the green laser color to the red, and it's definitely brighter too. Setup was, well... no setup was needed really. It's just plug-n-play. And from my experience using it, I have no regret spending the extra to get it. And although it's slightly longer than the previous model, you really wouldn't notice length while giving a presentation.

I put off purchasing one because I couldn't find one that I liked. Well, I LOVE this one and am telling my colleagues about it. It has an integrated green laser pointer which in my opinion works better than a red one, and it also has a small location within the pointer to store the USB device so you won't lose it. I also love the countdown timer. I am highly reliant on this feature. Overall, I think it is the greatest pointer out there for lecturers, presenters, teachers, professors, etc. This is the greatest bang for your buck and you won't regret making this purchase :-)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only used it to advance and rewind slides in a PowerPoint presentation, but it worked perfectly. It is comfortable in my hand and easy to know where my fingers were without having to look down at the remote. The laser was very bright, my dog loved it. I was not too far from my PC the whole time, so I cannot speak to its range. My only criticism is that the receiver (the part that plugs into the PC) is on the large size despite the packaging showing a symbol that would imply that the receiver is the smaller Logitech type. The receiver's size was more that of a traditional thumb drive. However, it does fit nicely in the body of the remote when not in use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Logitech Presenter worked exactly as I expected it to work. I was about 85 feet from my laptop which behind me at an angle. Sometimes I was facing the front of the room and other times I was facing the audience. I did not use the timer function so I can't comment on that. I was giving a PowerPoint presentation and all of the PowerPoint functionality worked fine out of the box with nothing mew installed on the laptop. The fact that the USB dongle is stored within the device itself is very helpful. The little storage bag help prevent scratches when the presenter is placed into a laptop case or an equipment bag.
