A great case! It’s worth the price you pay.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I realize that $139 seems steep for a case for a $329-429 iPad, but this is the best case for someone who wants to get the most out of their iPad. You want it to be a full laptop with hard-wired keyboard? Done. You want it to go full mobile like a table should? And you want the camera to not be covered up when you flip the keyboard around to the back? Done and done. Everything has been thought of. It’s rugged and protective. It holds the Apple Pencil. It’s use of magnets is really smarts. With this case, the iPad 7, and the new iPadOS, this could replace a laptop for 98% of the population.

As far as a rugged tent case, this is really nice

    Reviewed by - December 28, 2019

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Logitech makes really nice stuff, and this is no exception. What I'll say is that you have to like the "tent" style case to really love this. If you wanted to use this as a mini-laptop for your iPad, this might not be a good choice. In other words, you need to have a flat surface if you want to really type with it because it just kinda falls apart if you are using it on your lap, in the car, on the job, etc. when an even flat surface is not available. When I say "tent" style, it has no firm spine, so the iPad has to be held up with a flap that keeps it in place. Since the iPad seems heavier than the case itself, it can be a challenge. As for being a protective case, it does a great job at that without a doubt. It is rated to exceed military drop test standards, I'm not brave enough to try this out but it seems believable. Yes, it is able to be wiped clean, it is going to allow you to get rid of dirt and spills without any damage, and it does allow for decent typing with the keyboard when on a flat surface for the keyboard. The unique feature of this, besides what is already mentioned, is that it draws power for the keyboard from the smart connector you probably didn't even realize the iPad has. So you don't have to remember to charge this, there is no way to charge this aside from it grabbing power from your iPad. Plus the keyboard has shortcut keys to help move around without having to keep tapping the screen. I would have liked to see a backlit keyboard, for when in the field, in the car, or even a dark room. It is because the keyboard is not a typical keyboard size and can be challenging to find the typing "home" position for your fingers when it is dark. If you like tent style cases, this one is decent. But if you were hoping to use your iPad like a laptop, if you don't have a solid surface to work from, this might not be the best choice and might leave you disappointed.

Rugged case & keyboard. Perfect fit for my new iPa

    Reviewed by - December 27, 2019

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Rugged case & keyboard. Perfect fit for my new iPad (7). All the right openings. The opening for the main rear camera even has a clear lens cover for added protection to the camera lens. The control buttons are perfectly located and have raised symbols that I can easily feel with my fingers. The keyboard receives power from the three (3) contacts at the bottom edge of the ipad. So no batteries to wear out. Very quiet. Feed back from the keys is good. They are flat, so not the same as other Logi keyboards where the keys are raised like individual buttons. That doesn't mean they are not easy to use or get accustomed to. The back flap props the pad at a perfect reading and typing angle for me. I also like the ability to fold over the front of the keyboard to take up less space as on a Airplane TRAY TABLE.. The top magnetic flap doubles as a pencil holder. It is meant to keep the case from opening during carrying or a fall. I really like the feel and sense of protection t gives my new iPad.

Durable and intuitive case with keyboard

    Reviewed by - January 2, 2020

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a fantastic keyboard for the fact that it is super durable and so sharp looking. I use my iPad as a full on computer interface with this practically. The case is sturdy and provides some serious protection with the folio giving it some bulk and thickness. Feels like a nice book when carrying it and it seems to make this more upscale to me. I like the color scheme and it looks great. The feel and texture of the case is excellent and it has a nice hybrid cloth / graphite feel to it. The magnetic clasp is precise and accurate and helps to ensure a solid close of the folio and tucks away behind the folio when the iPad is being used. The iPad has a great feel with the kickstand bumped out and it is very sturdy. The keyboard has great tactile feel and a smooth texture across your fingertips. The ports and buttons are all easy to access. The volume is a bit hard to push but still accessible when you get the hang of it. The keyboard makes it easier to operate the iPad with built in hot keys to help the productivity of the device. Home button, volume buttons, and etc built right into the keyboard. Easily would recommend this to anyone with the latest iPad and if you want to maximize your iPad for protection and functionality like a small laptop.

    Rugged and Great Keyboard!!!

    Reviewed by - December 27, 2019

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Rugged Folio by Logitech was priced at $139.99 is Just in time after Christmas Gift. I have the new 7th Generation iPad and this folio is just the right case for it. **Note: This product is only for the 7th Generation iPad** This case is slim, rugged and light for the type of case. The iPad fit right in and synced up no problem. The case is deceptively rugged with a hard plastic casing around the iPad and fits snug in the case, no movement once its in. Typing on it is also nice. I know this can be subjective but it has the feeling of raised keys yet they are covered spill resistant keypad that is rarely a comfort to me. This one passed all my expectations. Now my wife says the case is a bit manly however the iPad I have (see pictures attached) is a slate Grey and I do think this case would look great with Gold or White. I would highly recommend this case for students of all ages, traveling salespeople and on the go people in general. This is a 5 Star case. Well done Logitech for making such a great case for the new iPad 7th Gen product. Bravo.

    Super sturdy case

    Reviewed by - February 5, 2020

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have two iPads - one for home use and one for work. I wanted to get the rugged version of the Logitech folio for my work iPad as I use it a lot and it tends to get banged up. This case is incredibly sturdy and durable. The keyboard aspect of the folio works just like the traditional versions of the Logitech products for iPad. Connecting to my iPad was very fast and intuitive. My coworkers and business partners have often commented on the case. They wanted to know who made it and at least two of my colleagues have gone out and purchased one for their own use. This is a great product and a very good value for the price.

Excellent case if you need a keyboard

    Reviewed by - December 26, 2019

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The quality of this case is excellent and definitely feels right given the price. It's a bit tight getting the iPad in, but that's good because once it's in, it provides a very nice and tight fit. It's a very solid and heavy case. The weight of it might be good for some people, but my wife has already complained about how heavy it makes the iPad overall. Luckily I haven't tested how well it protects the iPad during a fall, and hope I never do, but I feel pretty good about it if it does. Looking at the construction and the ribs along the sides I have no doubt it'll live up to its claims. The keyboard worked right away and works perfectly. The design of it is nice too since you don't have to worry about spills or debris getting under the keys. What's especially nice is that when the keyboard is behind the iPad (in a configuration where you obviously couldn't use it intentionally), it seems that the keyboard is disabled, so that if you accidentally press some keys it won't type or interfere with whatever you're doing on the iPad. As good as the keyboard is, if you're not someone that would use it all the time, this case may not be for you. When it's configured to act as a stand, it doesn't get in the way and tucks in behind it nicely. But when you want to hold your iPad like a tablet, the keyboard is facing out and is a bit awkward, not to mention when you set it down you'll be laying it down on the keyboard, which shouldn't hurt it with the way its designed, but it still doesn't feel right. Plus it's almost impossible to hold it and not be pressing keys, which again, won't do anything, but doesn't feel comfortable or right. Last thing that kept it at 4 stars are the buttons. One side button works perfect, but the volume buttons don't and I have a tough time trying to use them through the case edge. It's not really that big an issue though since Apple makes it pretty easy to control the volume through the screen. To sum up, if you're looking for max protection for your iPad and need or like using a keyboard all the time, then this case is for you.

    Could be Better

    Reviewed by LFord - January 17, 2026

    1. The side of case buttons are very difficult to operate 2 I do not like that it is black-which tends to become invisible when sitting in plain sight. 3 The texture makes it safer to handle but more difficult to decorate to overcome the blackness. It is VERY sturdy, and easy to handle otherwise.

    Worth the money

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - February 1, 2020

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this because I use my ipad for business. It is much easier to type on the keypad than the virtual one you get one the ipad. Plus there was no pairing to be done. I just placed it in the holder and it started working right away. As a non technical person I found that extremely helpful. I know you can get cheaper keyboards elsewhere but I really wanted a good brand name so I knew it wouldn't mess up my ipad (much in the same way I use OEM cords and chargers). Plus those cheaper versions you have to detach the keyboard to store it properly. I just fold this one up and it stays put. A much better option for me.
