This is an absolute beautiful knife.. easily the sharpest factory edge I've experienced. This will be primarily for vegetables and I have other Henkels that are less delicate and fancy. This company has never ceased to amaze me from the professionalism all the way down to their warranty. This knife was sent to me replacing one that was damaged about 10yrs ago. Have and always will buy henkel knives this won't be my last from the fusion line to a few kaizen, a Kramer essentials I've found that this company has always satisfied my needs and requirements as a cook. Thanks again for all the help and your wonderful product line!

    Razor sharp!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This knife is extremely sharp and exceptionally beautiful. I like the rocking santoku for things such as parsley and garlic. It makes cutting veggies a pleasure. I would recommend this knife to chefs and skilled home cooks as well.

Stands the test of time in professional use

    Reviewed by - November 26, 2022

I am writing this review after roughly two years of heavy use with this knife in a professional setting. The main high points for me with this knife are: - blade is thin enough that it will glide through most vegetable prep and fruit prep with ease - edge retention is great and blade does not need to be sharpened or even honed daily. During proper use the blade should hold its sharpest edge without being touched up for at least a week and up to a month in a professional kitchen, for home cooks this could translate to a year or more. - cosmetically the blade is very pleasing after a few sessions of oiling the handle it begins to show the wood grain very beautifully. Additionally, the polishing on the spine of the knife is done very well and all edges are rounded off such that it won’t dig into your hand when cutting large amounts of product Play does not dig into your

    Love These Knives!

    Reviewed by - March 24, 2025

I recently purchased two Miyabi chef’s knives—one 9.5 inch and one 8 inch—and I couldn’t be happier with them. The craftsmanship is absolutely stunning, and the blades are incredibly sharp right out of the box. They glide through everything from vegetables to meat with such ease, it actually makes prepping food enjoyable. The 9.5 inch knife is perfect for larger tasks, while the 8 inch feels a bit more versatile for everyday use. Both have a great balance and feel super comfortable in hand. I also love the elegant design—these knives are not only functional but beautiful too. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys cooking and appreciates quality tools in the kitchen!

How much more black could it be? None.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Razor sharp straight out of the very nice presentation box in comes in. Holds its edge for a crazy long time due to the exceptionally hard MC66 steel construction*. Beautiful craftsmanship and attention to detail from stunning maple handle to tip- for all the tactile folk out there check out the spine and choir on this knife, buttery smooth. The knife suits my hand perfectly and can accommodate a number of different grips, simply a joy to use. At 9.5” in length this knife is the perfect size for everyday prep for most tasks. With proper care this should last a lifetime. *be sure to avoid cutting frozen foods, bones, or other hard items and use a suitable cutting board to avoid chipping as this knife is hard hard hard. As with all quality knives, take care of the knife and it will take care of you.

On the other hand, is sharp from the box, keeps a good balance on my hands and it doesn't make my wrists hurt like other knifes. I really recommend it and I'm glad with the company for coming up with this excellent and beautiful product! grazie mille

Sharpest knife I have ever used in the kitchen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cosmetically the knife was not evenly polished on both sides. I would except more from this high end of a knife. Otherwise, I have no other complaints. It was sharpened evenly.
