What customers are saying

The PSVR2 offers an immersive visual experience with advanced features like eye tracking and adaptive triggers. Many users praise the quality of games like Gran Turismo 7, Resident Evil Village, and No Man's Sky. However, some report issues with connectivity, battery life, and comfort. There are also concerns about the limited game library and lack of PC support. While the PSVR2 is a notable improvement, there are still areas for Sony to address in terms of hardware reliability, software support, and value.

    Game Changer - Awesome

    Reviewed by JW - November 28, 2023

I was hesitant to purchase because of both cost and motion sickness rumours. I also refrained from buying into the technology when it first came out maybe around 2016, when it was the original PSVR, Oculus etc. It continues to blow me away, as I play through Star Wars Tales From Galaxies Edge and Resident Evil Village. Sony has done an outstanding job at producing such an advanced, comfortable, thrilling VR headset. For a guy that played Pong at 10 years of age, had a Commodore 64 and an Atari console, this is truly a game changer. I can only hope that my staples such as Skyrim, Fallout and GTA one day come to this new VR platform. Way to go Sony.

    Next generation!… with no assets

Reviewed by Anonymous reviewer - October 18, 2024

I love my PS5. I play it everyday. I finally wanted to get into VR. I bought this as soon as I had enough money as it seemed like a no brainer. I used it maybe 12 times and that was it. I’ve had it for months now and was hoping for new games. Sony announced that not only are they not going to continue to produce games for PSVR 2. There’s not much to play with it to begin with. Beat saber was fun until you realize you have a limited library of licensed music to use and can’t import your own. There is literally no point in getting this and I would not suggest getting it. It was a waste of money and a nice paperweight. 100% would not suggest

    Ps5 vr2

Reviewed by jamie blackhawk - August 5, 2023

So the experience using PS VR two easy to set up easy to read the manual comfortable I would really like to see if there was any type of lens protectors come with it that would probably be the only thing I don’t like but besides that overall everything was great playing games on it. It was great great set up easy to use. Overall, I’m happy with my purchase and I’ll use it for years to come. I play a lot of games so I’ll get a lot of use out of it playing beat sabre GT racing online sitting in a Bugatti looks sick. Corvettes inside view looks awesome. Driving in the inside of a car. Makes me feel like I’m driving actually a car .

    Psvr 2 is awesome!!!

    Reviewed by DDMANZ - March 13, 2023

The psvr 2 is awesome. It's light, easy to get going. Just plug and play. There's not many games yet but resident evil and horizon are a good start. The only thing that bothers me is that my nose starts to hurt after awhile from the eye pieces. Even if i find the sweet spot. Sony should make a soft sponge to place in the nose part so the headset doesn't irritate the nose. Other than that, it's a great experience and would highly recommend the psvr 2. The headset and controllers vibrate, the triggers have a resistance when playing gun games. Can't wait for more titles like the walking dead and switchback.

    Having a Blast

    Reviewed by RDSglobe - May 8, 2023

This is our first VR headset, so we don't have a benchmark to compare to, but so far we have been having a blast. Already being a GT7 fan, this takes it to a whole other level. Looking forward to digging into REvillage and been having a fantastic time with No Man's Sky, What the bat!?, Tetris and Swordsman VR. For some, it can take a bit to get used to, but start off slow and in shorter increments and you'll be fine in no time. If you have a PS5 already and are interested, definitely a fun addition!

It's okay but not worth the money

    Reviewed by JKN339 - February 4, 2026

I'd read that this was a great experience for Gran Turismo 7, which is why I bought the VR2. But the quality of the graphics is not good. Blurry text drives me nuts. The driving experience is fine (but not as clear as a good TV). And the vibration in the headset is annoying (you can shut that off, though). And nausea is a by-product of using the VR2 (although I've been experimenting with nausea therapies, such as ginger). If I'd rented this to try it, I'd return it and never miss it. I'd suggest you try someone else's headset before you commit. Maybe you'll like it, but I bet you won't think it's worth several hundred dollars.

    It's a good experience.

This is my 3rd VR set that I have owned. Previous ones were the Rift and Rift s. By far the PSVR2 headset is leaps and bounds better WRT to video quality. Eye tracking is nice. But I think it needs more work. Probably updates will fix it. GT7 is awesome in VR. Especially the VR Showroom. But if you want a really scary immersive VR Game. Resident Evil Village is the one to get. Tried the demo and Ill have to buy it. So cool in VR. All and all, I am satisfied with my purchase.

A great addition to the PS5

    Reviewed by H Aitch - February 23, 2023

The fit of the headset is so nice compared to Quest 2, even with the expert headband. The unit is surprisingly light. Sony did well in terms of fit adjustments and positioning. I've had to adjust the scope position a few times for visual clarity, but that could just be my eyes. The eyepieces get smudged pretty easily at the view distance I'm at. The graphic quality is stellar. It's something that has to be experienced to get the whole picture. You can also use the headset to play games with your regular controller, so that's a bit of a bonus for me. It would be nice if the cable could be removed from the headset itself for storage. Despite the price point, it's a solid addition to the PS5. Hopefully, the list of supported AAA games grows over the next few months.

Product wasn't for me... but to late.

    Reviewed by Chris M - April 11, 2023

Unfortunately I had a rather disappointing experience. First I purchased the product, was rather excited to give it a try, but found out quickly that I couldn't adjust the headset in a way that would work with my eyesight; was unable to make it clear and visible with both eyes at the same time. I immediately packed it back up and tried to bring it back, but was advised that due to their return policies I couldn't. After some discussions with their customer service folks, nothing could be done... to bad, so sad. I was simply told "try to sell it on FB marketplace". So I guess buyer beware. If you can't somehow test it out first (e.g. at a friend's house) to find out if it'll work for you (e.g. with your current eyesight situation), I suggest you skip it... because if it doesn't work for you, you'll be stuck with an expensive paper weight.

    PlayStation VR2 - It's Game Changing!

    Reviewed by Dan - December 18, 2025

The PlayStation VR2 brings simply the best immersive gaming experience. Wether wanting to enjoy playing any games on what feels like a ginormous cinema screen, or to become fully engulfed in the gaming experience with games designed to fully bring you into the virtual world, this is a must have accessory for hardcore PlayStation gamers. One of the games I personally have enjoyed playing the most with the PlayStation VR2 is Gran Turismo 7. This is an amazing game normally on the PlayStation 5, but to play it and feel like you are in the car, in the center of the action for the driving experiencing is incredible.
