Star Wars: Power of the Jedi Qui-Gon Jinn (Mos Espa Disguise) Action Figure

Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn has handled many difficult negotiations on behalf of the Jedi order. On some missions, he is required to wear a disguise. Bold and headstrong, he is willing to take any risk to restore lasting peace and security to the galaxy. Qui-Gon Jinn wasn’t a character in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace who changed his outfits all that much. When he wasn’t wearing the dark brown outer robe to conceal his full identity, he essentially just wore standard Jedi gear throughout the rest of the film. There was one exception, however. Upon his journey to and from the queen’s Royal Starship and Mos Espa, he wore a poncho, also informally referred to as his Mos Espa disguise. Hasbro felt a basic figure release of this character was necessary from the basic figure line, and we have to partially agree with them. The basis of 2001’s POTJ Qui-Gon Jinn (Mos Espa Disguise) is the pack-in figure from 2000’s EI Eopie & Qui-Gon Jinn creature set. This time around, Hasbro retooled the figure to remove the action figure, repainted it to be more screen accurate, and added it to the basic figure collection to present collectors with a pretty nice update to the Qui-Gon Jinn character in Episode I. The enhancements are noteworthy. Collectors typically dislike these types of add-ons to their figures. And since the Power Of The Jedi line has been geared towards the collectors’ market, Hasbro ensured that the figure would meet our ever discretionary tastes. And we don’t think there is a better way to put that. In our opinion it has.
