CFA Test Approved
- November 19, 2021[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Required by the CFA institute when taking the CFA exam. Although the design looks much much more up-to-date than the HP 12C Financial Calculator (another calculator approved by CFA institute), the user interface still looks pretty old. The logic of operation for the calculator is pretty dull as well, but I guess people who purchase this calculator does not have a second option. One major disapproval from me is that it feels impossible to change a fresh battery. User not only needs to unscrew the back, but needs to tear the back cover apart as well, since its attached to the front. I did not do so because I am afraid that I might break it.

Good Financial Calculator
- April 29, 2008[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this is a great financial calculator for any finance student or people in the financial working world. it has the ability to do just about any financial calculation (annuities, annuities due, NPV, IRR, cash flows, general investment problems and much more). it is fairly self explanitory to use and if it isnt then the paper insert on the cover will tell you most of what you need to know. the only downside i've found on this calculator was trying to find the NPV of cash flows in the billions of dollars because the calculator only goes to 10 digits and i couldnt find the 'carrot' symbol so i had to round off a few of the numbers

Perfect product
- August 26, 2016[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The BA II is easy to understand and use. It is consistently right in its calculations. It is not a bad deal for the price of $34.99. I borrowed a financial calculator from a friend who has an HP 10bII+. It was useless to me as I couldn't make any headway with it. I don't like having to read a whole instruction booklet before performing simple calculations like the TVM (time value of money). I fully recommend the TI (Texas Instruments) BA II Plus to those studying Finance or just needing a good financial calculator.

Its does the job smushy buttons
- February 21, 2020[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This calculator main attraction is to calculate time value of money. Both present and future values. You can also get the term or interest rate if you need to calculate those. You cant press buttons quickly or the press wont be recognized. Otherwise its a great financial calculator. Ti also has a slightly more expensive version that the button presses are that of early smartphones (Blackberry and the like). I was tempted on getting that one but I can no longer return this model and my professor teaches out of this model. It has been around for a long time, just updates to the mold.

Great for College Courses, or personal Finance
- October 8, 2016[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Texas Instruments does not make an inferior product. I have used TI calculators since Junior High, and I have not yet been disappointed. I was also pleased to find that the Financial Calculator is affordable. I thought I'd have to shell out $100+ for this versatile calculator. This is the standard and most financial course text books will have instructions on how to use a financial calculator, specifically the TI Ba II Plus. Once you get the hang of the functions, problems that took hours will take only seconds.

Great Calculator for the price!!!
- November 3, 2008[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm taking a Finance class and I find this calculator much easier to use than the HP-10. If you have a lot of experience with TI calculators, then this one should be fairly easy to learn. TVM keys are easy to to work and and conveniently located. My only concerns are that it doesn't feel as sturdy as my TI-84 and the buttons are a lot stiffer too. Additionally, the button placement is arranged a little differently and I constantly find myself turning the unit off when intending to clear data from the screen.
