- Good game, not sure why kids love it so much- December 18, 2019
The themes and tones of Undertale are very dark and I enjoyed the experience but I'm honestly confused on why kids love it so much. The way the game plays often plays with your perception and expectations. Do kids get all the references that are in this game? Do they understand what's going on when you chose specific options? I want to be clear, kids can 100% get these and understand them but this game was so huge. It was a phenomenon! And kids ATE IT UP! So I'm left here scratching my head going, "Yes, this game is good but I don't understand if you really get what's going on or if you just think the dancing flower is crazy."Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Beautiful game- April 25, 2020
Wow! After playing the game I was floored, it's an emotional ride that really allows us, as people, to show where we stand in our own everyday, internal struggle. It gives us the power to make decisions as we please, but also reminds us that for every action there are consequences, both direct and indirect. When we find out how characters are connected to each other, one wrong move, can have devastating effects on others, and even ourselves. This game is a wonderful addition to any collection, especially if you're a fan of early NES and SNES games. It has a nostalgic feeling that could only be compared to Earthbound (or the Mother series in general) while still standing on its own feet.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

- A postmodern RPG classic- December 2, 2018
Undertale is a brilliant and smartly designed game that understands well what makes a good RPG work; so much so that it can upend expectations and deliver something that’s almost a satire of the genre. It’s been a long time since we’ve played a game that manages to surprise so often and in so many unique ways, and even if it doesn’t look like much, Undertale has way more going for it under the surface. Excellently written characters, a genre-bending battle system and a solid soundtrack make this one an easy recommendation, especially to RPG lovers.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- My son loves it, fun game!- November 26, 2018
This was a gift for my son. He has wanted this game for quite some time, and when it came out for Switch, I bought it for him. Gameplay is straightforward. The characters are interesting, the plot is a bit dark, but it does give you a chance to play the game as a pacifist to some extent. It is interesting to see how the choices made affect the gameplay. The quality is old fashioned (think 8 bit retro graphics), but it is still rather fun to play. The music is fantastic. Depending on the choices made throughout the game, the level of difficulty can be low or high. It is quite challenging for my children. Overall, it is a fun game and the price is right. It may be a bit scary for some children, even with a rating of everyone 10+, but my 7 year old loves it.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
