Get motivated with a Fitbit tracker
Fitbit offers a wide range of activity and wellness trackers to help you on your journey to get fit and prioritize your health.
What is a Fitbit tracker?
A Fitbit tracker is a wrist worn device that works alongside the Fitbit app to log your daily steps, calorie burn, distance traveled, sports and exercises, and sleep. Most new models also track data like active minutes, stair climbs, 24/7 heart rate, and even more.
They are designed to give you a full view of your daily activity so you can progress towards goals, track workouts, and monitor other aspects of your health, like heart health, mindfulness, stress, breathing rate, sleep quality, and more.
They typically come with rectangular faces that can display a summary of stats along with incoming messages from a connected smartphone viewing scrolling text. Battery life usually hovers around a week per charge, and most models are waterproof so you can comfortably wear them in the shower, pool, while washing dishes, and more.
What can a Fitbit tracker track?
Fitbit trackers monitor all the stats you'd expect, like number of steps taken per day, how many calories you have burned, details of a specific workout, whether it's a morning run, weightlifting, or an intense cardio HIIT session, and detailed sleep analysis.
Most models have 24/7 heart rate sensors while some add additional sensors to measure things like EDA for stress, Sp02 blood oxygen saturation for breathing rate and potential issues like sleep apnea, and even skin temperature. Some can also take an ECG if you have concerns about irregular heart rhythms.
All the data can be viewed on the tracker screen itself or in the comprehensive app, which also provides access to workouts, competitions with friends, family, and the Fitbit community, mindfulness exercises, goal setting, and more. Some also include built-in GPS to track your running route or hike while others have connected GPS that works with a connected smartphone.
