High quality, high fidelity at a highly acceptable price

    Reviewed by Roberto M - June 3, 2016

I have been using these headphones for over 4 years as a professional DJ in both high noise and highly demanding environments (live performance as well as production.) I can safely say that for what I've been using them for, there may be ones that are slightly lower priced that compromise sound quality or others that are vastly more expensive and give you that last 1%; however these headphones will be a mainstay in my kit for years and years to come. The sound stage is flat. The isolation even after 4 years of use and NEVER replacing a part, is still fantastic. Finally, I cannot even begin to calculate how these head phones have spared my ears in high noise environments. If you're shopping and looking at Sennheiser, V-Modas or even some high end Sony headphones...please, do yourself a favour and give these a try. It will be worth the 30 seconds...

    Great Headphones

Reviewed by Des Lee - May 22, 2015

Just want to share a few things: - These headphones are solid and you pay for that with more weight - The passive noise isolation on these beats all other headphones I've tried, but they also apply more pressure to make a good seal. I much prefer the isolation at the sacrifice of some comfort. Plus I don't like active noise cancellation, so these are perfect for me - The sound quality is amazing. I notice I'm now hearing the correct lyrics in some songs that used to sound mushy/ambiguous. I'm re-enjoying all my music - The phones swivel 180 degrees and can fold up, but since I don't use these functions, I find it gets in the way / can be confusing at time Overall 5/5

    Great studio headphones.

Reviewed by Rob Roy - February 5, 2021

I've owned various other studio headphones including ones that cost in excess of $500.00 and for the price the AT-M50x are the absolute best bang for your buck. A comfortable fit and great seal over the ears when recording vocals in the studio. A very even signal that's clear and concise. I wouldn't necessarily use these for mixing but they can do the trick if need be. I highly recommend these for anyone just starting to build their home studios or even in a professional environment!

    THE HYPE IS RIGHT

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - May 13, 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I've always seen these headphones discussed on production forums and never took the plunge until now. These cans sound pristine and are comfortable. I've also owned some other great headphones in the past including the V-Moda LP2, KRK and Senal. I loved them all, but these are crystal clear and dynamic, yet in transparent way. I am listening to Arca's new album on them as I write this review and every nuance and detail is delivered in spades.I am hoping to produce some tracks at night on these. Don't dismiss the hype....everyone was right!

Good headphone but it is not cheap

    Reviewed by Archie - January 8, 2017

I ordered this product online. it came at the promised time. I am happy with the sound including the base which most people look for in new headphones. The base sound is not overpowering but not dead either, just right which I like. Overall it provides good tonal balance. I am happy with this headphone but you have to buy this on sale, regular price is not cheap.

The BEST over the ears headphones

    Reviewed by - December 11, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had in the past many over the ears headphones of different brands and prices. None of them had an excellent or even a good sound. I do a lot of recording and needed a really good headphones and bought this Audio-Technica headphones and I was blown away by the sound reproduction and ambient noice isolation, excellent low, mid and hight frequencies. I use them all the time to monitor my recordings and they always perform great. I even bought another pair to take them along when traveling. I love them and highly recommend them.

    Great over-hear headphone

    Reviewed by - April 9, 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One of the best sounding headphones I have every had. Great sound, but quite flat compared to some other cans. Bass is good, but not too boomy. I like the detachable cable and the multiple options available. Comfort is ok. The fit is not too tight, and the earpads are quite soft. But my ears sweat after wearing them for over an hour in one go. Overall construction is decent. It's very difficult to go back to other "typical" headphones after once I started using them.

    Excellent headphones for the price

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - July 4, 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these headphones based on all the reviews. The are really good headphones for the price. The are a neutral sounding headphone so they will find all the faults in your recording. They are only as good as the source file your are playing through them. In the end I wanted a warmer sounding headphone so I went with the Sony MDR1a's. I am much happier with them but they do cost twice as much. If you want a good budget headset I recommend these.
