We had installed Bosch Microwave in August 2019 and Lst 3 weeks back it start sparks inside. Changed the Waveguide still sparking inside. Its been uneven in heating also for some time. We were surprised when we were researching customer reviews the sparking has been a major complaint from many customers. It is surprising after paying $1200 for microwave of BOSCH brand, its dyeing in 2 years usage. We know it’s out of 1-year lim1-year warranty but this is major manufacturing /design defect. We had GE for 15 years with no problem and were shocked with the quality of BOSCH products now. Forwarding Model label and video of Sparking.

I bought a condo in Summer 2020, and came with this built-in microbe by Bosch that was manufactured in November 2018. I had a warranty on this that lasted 18 months, and in month 12, the diode burned out and had to get that replaced. Now, in month 19 right after the warranty expired, the magnetron has completely burned out and no longer heats anything despite still powering on. Folks, its truly a horrible product, you will get no longevity out of this, like the others are saying. Now having to do extra Christmas shopping to find a new, expensive built-in microwave that will hopefully work much better than these Bosch products.

On Thursday, January 16, 2020, we had a Bosch 500 Series 27” Microwave Single Wall Oven, Model No. HMB57152UC/05 (drop-down door), professionally installed along with two convection wall ovens and a gas cooktop, all Bosch brand appliances. We took note of a very dim clock display. It is now Saturday, January 18, and the display is barely visible at 6 feet, even on the “hi” brightness setting as the default. In the few days we’ve had to troubleshoot the issue, it appears the clock display resumes its set level when the oven is in operation and then defaults to dim, bordering on barely illuminated after about a half-hour of non-use. None of the displays on the other two Bosch appliances lose their intensity or come close to being this dim. FD No. 9909 123716, Manufactured in September 2019 in Shunde, China.

We bought a new home 5 years ago and had a choice of Whirlpool or Bosch appliances. I always thought Bosch was top quality. Boy was I wrong. The door spring on our builtin microwave broke after 2 years. You can't just replace the spring, you have to replace the entire door (over $300). Now 2 years later the wave guide cover has crapped out and we are told we need to buy a new microwave. Five years and the microwave has to be replaced. TOTALLY RIDICULOUS. Bosch should be ashamed to produce products that do not live up to their hype. I will NEVER purchase another Bosch produce.

The microwave was exactly what we wanted for our new home. We bought it and had it installed. It worked for only a year before it broke down the first time... just outside of the warranty window. We've owned it for 5 years now and have had to have it fixed 3 times. With this last time that we have fixed the microwave, we have officially spent more on diagnostics, parts and labor than we originally spent on the microwave. It is not worth the money to turn around and pay for it again within 5 years. Don't waste your time or money on purchasing a bosch microwave.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's the third microwave in a row that we replaced within 2 years and now it is broke again. Awful quality product. Bosch is no longer what it used to be. The first time we bought this product we fell in love with the design, but was DOA. When it was replaced after a month, it worked for about 8 months and the magnetron went bad. After 2 months I received another replacement that work for about 11 months and now the magnetron is broken again. To my surprise, sticker reades "made in China" while I always believed I was purchasing German quality.
