Turn the switch cover counterclockwise to the end, the press and hold the switch cover and turn it counterclockwise to the end, remove it from the unit.

Install two batteries ("AAA" type) into the battery compartment in the direction specified on the case.

Reinstall the switch cover by using the reverse procedure of Step 1. Adjust the switch cover to OFF position.
