[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lens is the biggest bang for you buck. At around $200 feels like it's prices way higher for the quality you get out of it. Beautiful 1.8 shots close up with a creamy blurry background. Def worth the price it is, surprised it isn't more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good lense for the price. I use this lense for my kids portraits and my barber pictures. It does everything i need it to do. I read some reviews talking about how slow it is in autofocus and the picture quality and my reply is u get wat u pay for. Its one of the cheapest lenses sony makes. Nonetheless a great lense for the price i have absolutely no issue with this lense at all. I paired it w/ a sony a7riv simply to jus have something to shoot with upon purchase until i can get another lense because I completely switched from canon and im starting from scratch. This lense on 50 full frame is waaay wider than on my canon crop sensor so it took some getting used to but it literally was jus an adjustment. Good buy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this lens with a Sony a7 III mirrorless camera. That came with a Sony FE 28-70 mm F3.5-5.6 OSS kit lens. Let me tell you, that kit lens is NOTHING compared to this 50mm f/1.8 lens. Obviously, there is some zoom in that kit lens, but it does not take sharp pictures like this little guy does. Super crisp and detailed shots! You will not regret buying this lens! It takes great landscape shots as well as superb portraits! The bokeh is really nice. Highly recommended! And especially for the price. DO IT! BUY IT!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I took a year tour to South Korea and let me tell you that this has been my go to lense for a majority of my time. I work with the Sony A6000 and although the photos will be cropped, that didn't stop me from getting what I wanted. After working with a the two standard lenses, having this in my case was a godsend and had me appreciate photography so much more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I actually really like this lens for the price. It's a great beginner prime. Images are reasonably sharp and bokeh is good. I shoot on a Sony A6400 so there is a 1.5x crop from my APSC sensor but Images are still outstanding with this lens. However, focusing can be slow to find the subject. Another reason for the 4 stars is the lens has some green or purple color fringing in images. This isn't much of an issue because I can remove most in post. I still highly recommend this lens for beginners.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great bang for buck and a very good upgrade from the kit lens on an a6000. The locked on 50mm plus cropped sensor 1.5x gives it a 75mm look to it. Tricky to get shots since you have to stand further away from subject but the sharpness for the price can’t be beat. I feel like this is almost a 85mm lens with the zoom I get, but like I said the picture that come out of this lens are crispy clear! The bokeh effect on this lens also looks amazing!!
