The Z30 PRO media playback technology supports direct playback of 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray (BDMV and ISO) and various file formats, including MKV, MP4, TS, and M2TS. Dolby Vision® VS10 Image Engine

The advanced Dolby Vision VS10 video processing engine ensures the highest image quality when playing any type of content (SDR, HDR, Dolby Vision) with any type of video output signal (SDR, HDR, Dolby Vision). It improves the quality of SDR/HDR/Dolby Vision conversion, minimizing the color banding effect. This benefit extends even to older TVs that do not support Dolby Vision. Moreover, the Z30 PRO’s VS10 engine, further developed by Zidoo, can be customized to optimize the viewing experience for different content.

HDR10+

The Z30 PRO is compatible with HDR10+ technology. HDR10+ is the latest and most advanced HDR technology, enhancing the viewing experience beyond HDR10. HDR10+ represents the dynamic range of video content on a per-scene (or even per-frame) basis, providing essential scene characteristics with minimal metadata to preserve important details. While static HDR uses a uniform static tone mapping throughout the content’s duration, HDR10+ employs dynamic tone mapping to optimize each scene, individually increasing brightness and contrast to match the capabilities of the display.

12 Bit Color Depth

The Z30 PRO not only supports 10 Bit (approximately 1.07 billion colors) decoding and output at the resolution of 4K 60Hz, but also supports 12 Bit (approximately 68 billion colors) color output. The 12 Bit color depth has more balanced color representation and natural color transition.

Accurate Frame Rate Switching

The Z30 PRO supports switching original resolution and frame rate automatically and accurately (23.976, 59.94, 25, 30, 50 and 60). The new automatic switching algorithm allows completing the film frame rate switching in advance to ensure smooth and integral film playback.

Powerful Subtitle Features

The Z30 PRO features Zidoo’s most powerful subtitle system to date. It supports all forms of special effect subtitles, including built-in/external ASS and built-in/external SUP. All text subtitles (including ASS) can have their position, size, color, font, and timeline (advance or delay by up to 10 minutes) adjusted. The brightness, position, and size of PGS/SUP subtitles can also be adjusted. The resizing of ASS and PGS subtitles is not a simple full-frame adjustment but is instead region-specific based on the subtitle display position, ensuring that resizing does not alter the relative position of special effect subtitles. The Z30 PRO supports mounting two subtitles simultaneously, allowing for the display of both Chinese and English subtitles at the same time. It also supports forced subtitles for PGS based on the original disc and SRT in MKV files.

Music Library Management

The Zidoo music library offers powerful local music playback function and comprehensive local music management. You can add music files from local hard drives or network storage across platforms. The Zidoo music library will automatically fetch music information from the cloud, matching music artists, album covers, descriptions, local CUE files, and more to create a personalized music database. It supports personalized categorization of music by genre, sampling rate, album, artist, and more. You can create custom playlists and it supports high-resolution audio files (such as DSF, DFF, SACD ISO, WAV, FLAC, AIFF, APE, ALAC). The library also supports gapless playback at the same sampling rate and playback gain features.

Wireless Music Streaming

The Z30 PRO can be used as a network music streamer, supporting Tidal Connect streaming and DLNA casting. This means you can use music streaming apps installed on mobile devices within the same local network to wirelessly stream or cast high-quality music to the Z30 PRO for playback. This allows you to enjoy more selection of online music services and experience lossless playback with superior sound quality on the device at the same time.

Multiple Network Protocols

The Z30 PRO supports NFS, SMB v1/2/3, and UPnP sharing protocols, allowing users to browse and play multimedia content saved on NAS or network drives connected in the same LAN with gigabit network. Even high-bit rate DSD512 master recordings can be played without stuttering.
