Remove the top completely to reveal an inside lower shelf that is the perfect spot to keep unfinished games or puzzles intact, hidden, and out of the way until the gaming is ready to resume. This shelf has handles for easy movement and can be adjusted to three positions for storage, play, or taller game pieces. A 3-inch-deep open ledge on opposing sides of this chess board coffee table can be used for temporary placement of gaming pieces.
