Apple Mac Studio
Mac Studio is an entirely new Mac desktop that packs incredible power in a compact form.
What is the Mac Studio?
Mac Studio is an entirely new Mac desktop. Despite an ultra compact form factor, Mac Studio packs the incredible power of the Apple M1 Max or all-new M1 Ultra processor. The result is a Mac measuring less than 20 cm square that can drive up to 18 streams of 8K ProRes video simultaneously. Thanks to the M1-series’ power efficiency, Mac Studio uses up to 1000 kWh less power per year than competing high-end PCs.
Mac Studio is beautifully designed with an enclosure made from a single aluminum extrusion. It features all the ports a professional user might want, including a pair of USB-C (Thunderbolt 4) ports and an SDXC card slot on the front for easy access. At just 9.5 cm high, Mac Studio can comfortably fit beneath most computer monitors. For the ultimate experience, you can pair it with a matching Apple Mac Studio Display (sold separately).
Apple Mac Studio specifications
The all-new Apple Mac Studio is equipped to deliver stunning performance with extensive connectivity.
Choose between the Apple M1 Max processor, or the M1 Ultra (20-core CPU with 48-core CPU and 32-core Neural Engine) for extreme speed. Mac Studio can be configured with up to 128GB of unified memory, and up to 8TB of SSD storage.
All connectivity needs are covered (both wired and wireless) with four USB-C (Thunderbolt 4) ports, two USB Type A ports, HDMI, 10Gb Ethernet, an SDXC card slot, Bluetooth 5.0, and Wi-Fi 6. It offers support for up to five displays connected simultaneously, including four Pro Display XDRs over USB-C plus one 4K display over HDMI.
Who is the Mac Studio aimed at?
Mac Studio is an all-new Mac desktop and it’s aimed at a group of users who may not have previously had the perfect option in a macOS desktop.
With a choice between the powerful M1 Max or M1 Ultra processors, Mac Studio delivers far more performance than Mac mini or iMac Pro in a package with a extremely small footprint. It also offers a far wider range of connectivity options. At the same time, it is more affordable than Mac Pro.
With its extreme performance and connectivity, Mac Studio is ideal for prosumers and professional users. It has everything needed to chew through even the most demanding creative, business, and science applications. Mac Studio is the perfect choice for those who need the power to render 4K or 8K video, run complex particle simulations, mix music, design complex 3D environments, edit high resolution photos, or compile large codebases.
