  • This item doesn't scrape the bowl efficiently
    Reviewed by Cialynne1 - July 6, 2020

I bought this flex edge paddle for my 6 Qt bowl lift mixer. At first, I was excited about the bowl scraping paddle. However, the more I used it, the more white comes off the paddle blade. It has come off at the tip of the blade, as well as 2 other places closer to the top of the blade. Now, I have to really push it hard to get it hooked up on my mixer, and getting it off is just as hard. I am really disappointed in the quality of the blade. I would expect a lot better from Kitchenaid. Especially at the prices charged for it. I still have to stop and scrape the bowl and beater paddle. I really think the quality of this item is quite bad.

  • Don't Waste Your Money
    Reviewed by Kay - February 1, 2017

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I waited so long for the flex edge beater, for the 6 qt bowl. I guess I should have waited longer. My model is the KP26M1XFQOB, It is so tight in the bowl it wouldn't even go on properly, never mind trying to turn the mixer on. As a mater of fact, I'm not even crazy about the 6 qt lift mixer. The shield to put the ingredients thru does not fit properly, keeps coming off (and I have tried more than one), it also doesn't get all the ingredients mixed on the bottom of the bowl, even adjusting the bowl. I'm totally disappointed with it all !! I would have been happier spending all that money on a new TV or tires for my car. My mixer is now another dust collector, an expensive one I might add. I'm sorry I gave it a one star rating, but zero stars isn't an option.

  • Mixed Emotions
    Reviewed by Peg - December 26, 2016

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The white coating started chipping off during use, so I can't use it anymore, and had to throw out that batch of batter. I'm almost positive I bought it just over a year ago, so it would no longer be under warranty, and I'm not sure what caused it to start chipping unless it hit the side of the bowl somehow. I have mixed emotions because for the past year I absolutely loved the flex edge beater, and used it ALL the time with my mixer, but I'm disappointed it only lasted a year before chipping.
