Gifts for Paper Crafters

A scrapbook album is a thoughtful starting point that doesn't require a cutting machine or software. Look for a page size and binding style that suit their projects, and check whether the set includes any extras. For someone interested in card making, a manual die-cutting kit can also be a good choice; confirm which dies and cutting plates are included.

Digital cutting machines use compatible software and a blade to cut designs from supported materials. Manual die-cutting machines use physical dies and pressure to cut shapes, and many also work with embossing folders to add texture. Choose based on whether the recipient prefers working with digital designs or hands-on tools, and check material and accessory compatibility.

Consider the size of their projects, available workspace, and the paper or cardstock they like to use. For a digital machine, check device and software requirements. For any machine, review the included tools and confirm whether mats, dies, blades, or other accessories need to be purchased separately.

A new scrapbook album gives them another project to make their own, while a craft storage cart can help organize a growing supply collection. If you're considering machine accessories, find out their exact machine model first, since compatibility varies.

Check the cart's overall dimensions and the usable space inside its drawers or trays. Paper should fit without bending, especially if they work with larger scrapbook sheets. Smaller drawers can help separate embellishments and tools, while lockable wheels are useful for keeping the cart in place.
