FAQ
Start with something they already love, then look for an unexpected twist. A mini arcade machine can suit a retro gamer, a smiling LEGO plant can delight a creative builder, and an animal-shaped waffle maker can make a brunch fan smile. The best fit feels personal rather than unusual just for the sake of it.
Look for something they can enjoy doing, not just owning. A LEGO botanical set gives them a hands-on project and a finished display, while a mini arcade machine offers classic gaming in a small package. Check what they already collect to avoid doubling up.
Start with their favourite game or gaming era, then compare the included titles, controls and dimensions. Check the product details for power requirements and whether batteries or a power cable are included. Compact models can be a good fit when there isn’t room for a full-size cabinet.
Many LEGO botanical sets appeal to adults who enjoy building and displaying their creations. Compare the suggested age, piece count and finished dimensions to find a suitable project. Smaller plant builds offer a different experience from larger bouquets or detailed display sets.
Check the cooking-plate design to make sure it creates the shape or pattern you want, rather than simply having a patterned exterior. Compare the waffle size, appliance dimensions and cleaning instructions, and make sure the recipient has a suitable place to use and store it.
