Allow the wax and holder to cool fully before moving either, and stop use at the maker's stated remaining-wax limit. Between uses, protect pillars from direct sunlight, which can fade colours or distort wax, and handle textured edges gently to prevent chips. Depending on the design, they may include timers, remote controls, or adjustable flicker effects. Check battery requirements and compartment security, particularly around children.
