What you'll be teaching

Module #1 - Intro to Stop Motion

Stop motion animation is a technique that makes static (non-moving) objects look like they’re moving. This module will introduce your learner to the basics of stop motion animation and explain the concept of frame rate.

Estimated time: 10 minutes

Module #2 - Storyboards

The key to any great movie is an interesting plot (or storyline). In this module your learner will see how a storyboard can help with the creation of the animation by identifying characters, creating the plot, and framing shots.

Estimated time: 20 minutes

Module #3 - Lights, Cameras, Action!

It’s time to start creating the animation. Your learner will explore the initial steps like setting the scene, maintaining a consistent shooting position, choosing the right device settings, and using animation guides.

Estimated time: 20 minutes

Module #4 - The Extras

The frames of the animation have all been captured, so now it’s time for some post-production fun. Your learner will explore the work that’s done after the filming has taken place like inserting audio (including music, dialogue, and sound effects), editing the video, and even adding special effects.

Estimated time: 15 minutes
