Good Product - Contradicting Information?!
- December 9, 2015[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own two of these - same model - EXCEPT, mine are branded Rocketfish (BB). It looks like these have been re-branded Insignia (BB). The Surge/ Master/ Slave +efficiency switch to make them ALL hot all of the time works great for me - BUT, I bought another one today at my local store and it is MISSING the coaxial inputs and outputs, as well as the dsl/telecom inputs and outputs?! There are what appear to be 'cutouts' - or indications of where the inputs and outputs USED to be on the strip, and the spec sheet in the box indicates that a cable modem/ DSL/ tele can be protected by using them, but they are not there! So this one is going back! Very weird.

Controls my entire home theater setup
- January 12, 2015[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I bought this only because of how awesome I heard it was from a friend of mine and awesome was an understatement. He said that the energy saving setting with the master control was nice because it would shut everything off once the master was turned off and it does exactly that! I have my TV plugged in as the master and on the plugs that are controlled by the master I have my Apple TV, AV Receiver, PS3, and my controller charging station. What is really nice is when I turn the TV back on it turns the receiver on as well so I only need to hit one button that does it all.

Great surge protector for electronic devices
- November 28, 2016[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a terrific surge protector for anyone who charges expensive electronic devices such as an iPhone, iPad, etc. Especially useful in a location known for its thunderstorms.

Great Surge Protection!
- September 12, 2018Our power bar and surge protector for the entertainment centre was about 14 years old. I figured it's probably had it's day. So I picked up this puppy! Lots of outlets, SUPER surge Joules protection, pretty much the highest rating for Joules I've seen. The only complaint I have, and it's very small and insignificant really, is that the LED's for the Surge Protection, and the Ground connection, are lit up Amber in colour. Would have liked to see those two GREEN! Other than that, it's a great product. We are out in the country and we have a lot of power outages and surges. Now, with 4200 Joules I feel much better about the protection of my expensive gear!! :) Well worth the money, good buy.

Has some interesting features
- May 27, 2016[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Much cheaper than the monster power supply/surge protector. Found out that this surge protector also offers a warranty even though it wasn't advertised like it was all over the monster product. The insignia surge protector has some interesting features - there is a main power outlet and secondary outlets that can be used to theoretically save electricity. For example the computer would be plugged into the main outlet and speakers and monitors into the secondary outlets and when the computer shuts off it will automatically turn off the secondary devices. I don't use this feature and it can be turned off so it just functions as a normal surge protector. All in all a good surge protector with plenty of room for plugs.

Does what it should with a bonus
- November 16, 2016[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good surge protector, designed for use with your desktop computer. The "energy saver" feature is pretty awesome. I have the desktop PC connected to the master outlet and the speakers, monitors, etc to the designated outlets and as the PC is powered on/off the power to the designated outlets is on/off - works beatifully with these accessories as when the PC goes off the power to the others is cut as well. I used to turn the other surge protector on/off so I didn't have to turn each monitor on/off but thtat annoyance has been solved with this product.

Protection
- December 29, 2015[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We needed something that would allow us to plug various electronics into it and that had at least 6' of cord because the nearest available outlet was 51/2' away from the various electronics we had. This product was better than we expected because it has a 'green feature' which lets us separate items into ones we use everyday and ones we use less often and when the 'green feature' is turned on the plugs in it are not receiving electricity. The only ones being active are the ones not in the 'green feature'. We love this feature.

More powah!
- September 16, 2015[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not really more power, but more outlets, which were a premium around my tv. I needed power for: TV Cable box Cable modem Slingbox PS4 AppleTV Amazon FireStick many of which had right angle plugs or fat connectors. This protector has 12 outlets that are well spaced, so getting everything hooked up was relatively easy. I'm not really using the "master/slave" plugs (turn off the master device and the slave devices power off). I just needed more outlets, and this was the best I was able to find the day I was out shopping.

Great product and great price
- October 8, 2014[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After comparing the amount of joules provided on this along with the price to other units found online, it was a great deal. I now have an actual surge protector instead of just a power strip. Lot of extra plugs that I may not use, but may come in handy later, and nice slide covers for those I don't use. Love the energy saving feature. I am having an issue with it not working properly with my computer, but I'm not going to dock the unit for a feature that still works correctly with other devices.

Great surge protector that saves electric
- April 22, 2017[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The surge protector is made well. Plug locations allow for regular plugs, small transformers, and also larger transformers. The main power plug controls power to other plugs once the main item is turned on. You can also turn off this feature and have all the plugs work normally. I use this for my desk top computer and have it connected as the main. When I turn off the computer, the monitor, printer, speakers, and other items are automatically turned off saving electricity and dollars.
