Twenty-five years ago, Best Buy Canada opened its doors and quickly became a go-to destination for Canadians to discover the latest and greatest tech. A quarter-century later, we’re still here evolving alongside our customers and the technology that shapes their everyday lives.

To mark the milestone, Chris Sallans, VP, Retail, Services & Customer Operations, sat down with 6ixRetail at our Bay & Dundas store in Toronto to talk about the evolving retail landscape and how Best Buy Canada continues to expand after 25 years.
In the conversation, Chris shares how our momentum comes from evolving with our customers and making it easier for them to shop however they want. By creating a smoother connection between online, in-store, and service experiences, we’ve continued to remove friction and meet customers where they are.

Celebrating with our customers: the 25th Anniversary Sweepstakes
An anniversary this big calls for a celebration - and we’re bringing our customers along for it.
Beginning February 20, we’re launching a monthly sweepstakes across our social channels, blog, online, and in-stores to celebrate 25 years of innovation. On the 20th of every month, shoppers are invited to guess the modern-day equivalent of a retro technology product — a nostalgic nod to how far tech has come since 2001.
Each month, two lucky entrants will each win a $2,500 Best Buy gift card.
