What should I do before I recycle my item?

Protect yourself by removing personal information from electronic devices before you recycle them. If you need help, visit a Geek Squad advisor for support (charges may apply).

Best Buy is not liable for any data that’s still on your device, and we can’t recover or return any recycled products.

How can I recycle something that’s not accepted at a Best Buy store?

Recycling regulations vary across Canada which may change where and how you can dispose of specific products.

Visit one of our trusted recycling partners' websites or contact your local municipality to find an alternate drop-off location and to get details on what’s accepted your province or territory.
