Have all The Source stores closed?
Yes, all The Source stores and thesource.ca have officially closed and are no longer operating.
Many The Source store locations have transitioned into new Best Buy Express stores. To find a Best Buy or Best Buy Express store near you, visit our store locator.
Can I still use my The Source Gift Card?
If you have a The Source gift card with a balance remaining, you can transfer the balance over to a new Best Buy eGift card.
To transfer your The Source gift card balance, submit your request via the online Gift Card Replacement form.
Once you've transferred your balance to a Best Buy eGift card, you can use it online and at any Best Buy Express or Best Buy store. Visit our Gift Cards help page to learn how to use your new eGift card online, check your gift card balance, and more.
Can I return or exchange a product I bought from The Source?
Purchases made at The Source are no longer accepted for return or exchange. If an item you purchased is found to be defective, contact the manufacturer for warranty details, which differ by manufacturer and item purchased.

Is the manufacturer warranty still valid for a product I bought from The Source?
Most products purchased at The Source include a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty. Refer to your product manual for warranty details and contact information. Many manufacturer’s support pages can also be found online.
How do I submit a claim for extended warranty or protection?
If you purchased an extended warranty from The Source and you have a warranty question after the first year of purchase, you can validate your support options as follows:
Purchased after August 10, 2022

How can I manage my online account or email subscription?
TheSource.ca online accounts and past order information are no longer available. The Source is no longer sending marketing emails to its customers and all users have been unsubscribed from electronic marketing.
